Topcat
At Tonights combination league AGM I am pleased to anounce that Falmouth Ath Dc have been promoted to senior football.ALL the players this season have worked very hard to win the last Falmouth Helston division 1 title ever to be played. We are very fortunate to have played in a league that has been so competitive over along period of time which hopefully as put us in good stead to player at combination level. Also ALL members of the comittee who attended various meetings at the ground during inspections and helping to get things right, all of which impressed the ground inspectors who reported to our secretary that they were surprised on how many people had volunteered to carry out the works. On behalf of Falmouth Athletic Dc I would like to thank all those who have helped us gain promotion, the fal/hel league comittee, B ridgeon,J Roberts,J Mead, A wallace and G Searle all of whom have attended our pitch inspections they were very understanding, and explained thoroughly what was needed to be done, our local council who have supported us in meeting the criteria needed. And also to those people who publicly put their concerns forward as this enabled us to put these items in order (some of which would never have had time to do if they were not highlighted so quickly) we even cut some trees back especially for St Darren! I now hope we can do well in the combination league and give all our opposing teams a warm welcome at the centre.

Topcat
Thanks Mike much appreciated, I dont think we are quite ready for that game! Our main aim is for survival within the league at the moment, and for teams to come to the centre where everyone will recieve a warm welcome. St Darren
hahaha, well in Kev, best of luck to you in the Combo League, the club has certainly come along way from its reputation of being a hard team. Some good players down there now (as there was before), you'll survive in the league no problem, its staying in the league for the coming years where it will be more difficult.
