Was I Right or Wrong

Recommended Posts

Can anyone remember I made a thread at the start of the season, saying that a final end of season table could, bar one or two exceptions be sorted out by the end of October and teams that pay out money could stop the cash if their team wasn't going to win anything.

I said that between the end of October and end of the season almost all clubs would move either up or down two places or less.

I have done it for this season's Combo Table listed below. The 2nd column shows a team's final league position, the third their position at the end of October and the last how many places up or down they moved.

So looking at the table from the end of October till the end of the season 16 of the 20 clubs moved 2 places up or down or less. Only Mullion, St Just, Wendron and St Day bucked the trend.

6 of the clubs never moved at all.

Team Final Pos 31st Oct Pos Movement

Helston 1 2 +1

Perranwell 2 4 +2

Illogan 3 1 -2

Penryn 4 5 +1

Pendeen 5 7 +2

St Just 6 3 -3

St Agnes 7 6 -1

Falmouth 8 10 +2

Culdrose 9 9 --

Wendron 10 13 +3

Troon 11 11 --

St Ives 12 12 --

Mullion 13 18 +5

St Day 14 8 -6

Porthleven 15 14 -1

Newquay 16 16 --

Hayle 17 15 -2

Penzance 18 17 -1

Holmans 19 19 --

Ludgvan 20 20 --

So next year come the end of October, the season is over for most of us.
