Rubber Duck Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Premier Sixes 3 St Stephen 1. Mills, Williams, Lawerence. A distinctly average performance by P6. Need to book our ideas up if we are even going to get close to St Austell next week.
Gareth Rowett Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 St Austell held on to win 1-0. Luke 'Costa' Patton with the penalty. Also in the premier, Fowey drew 2-2 at Bodmin Saints Duchy Three Sticker 2 Lewdown Rovers 2 Delabole 3 Roche 2

playmaker10 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Probus needed a strong start and were rewarded early on when Dean Southworths pinpoint corner was met impressively by John Penhaligon. The home side then made it 2 when Chris Shackley was brought down inside the box, and slotted the resulting penalty away well. On 25 mins a goalmouth scramble resulted in Martin Bishop denying a clear goalscoring opportunity with his hand. A red card and penalty awarded to St Cleer but Dan Riley guessed the right way to save well. Probus now with 10 men showed unbelievable character and went on to score 2 more before the break. Another header from Penhaligon and an own goal. The second half started with St Cleer pressing higher up the field and were rewarded with 2 goals. Probus were still working incredibly hard and fresh legs were brought on. On of which Ben Colquhoun scored a marvelous solo effort beating the last 2 defenders and slotting home impressively. Gary Champion then put the result beyond any doubt with a well timed leap from another pinpoint Southworth corner. The result again didn't flatter Probus who showed great desire and team spirit to score 4 goals against strong opposition with 10 men. Well reffed by Tim Topham apart from the fact their number 8 and captain managing to evade a sending off. Well done to the 3 lads who were again sporting enough to show face at the clubhouse after.

stewart cawte Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 CALSTOCK 5 GRAMPOUND 1 Another good footballing display by Calstock today and some very good goals. Well ref'd by Peter Sowdon. A little miffed with the last minute penalty we conceeded...another day that would of not been given ( there player blasts the ball from 3yds away and it hits our left backs hand nothing he could do about it and ref awards penalty) shame really as cleansheet would of been nice! Lets keep the momentum going........
Pablo Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 I second the 'credit to Camelford' they're not having a good time but they are a great bunch of lads. Wish 'em luck!
