I don't think they will be the last team to go this year its a real shame, any of their players looking to play should contact storm as they still need players for their division 1 side.

Not nice seeing a club fold, does anyone know the reason for folding...lack of players, financial reasons?

I think it was both to be honest! Ive started playing for there Sunday team to try and boost numbers in the squad so that one dont fold, as that would be a shame too.

What I do know is they will be back next season, starting in the lower leagues whilst they build there squad again. A great shame cos the lads are a good bunch

I am sorry to hear of another team folding in Junior football. I do feel however that the FA and the Leagues are missing a trick. Its too easy these days to enter a team in the leagues with no buy in for the players.

Maybe it is time that when players register for the season they pay the league for which they play? It needs to be large enough for the players to commit to the season for that league. I know it is not fool proof but players would be less inclined just to sign to play for a season if they will lose out.

The league could redistribute by way of grants to aid the clubs with upkeep of grounds and kits. People who continue to raise sides then fold would then be called to account more easily.

Not fool proof I know but there must be something to work with? The amount of teams may be less the quality better and some credibility restored.....

it is a great shame if this is true.yet another team folding.what does worry me more is the lack of players!!!! as i said at the mining league meeting you could end up in the new merged league with a bottom division(5) of maybe 7 or 8 teams :(

I think they plan on the bottom league being div 7.

However i think your right, there might only be enough for 6 divisions as a lot of players sign for clubs in both F&H and mining league's.

In reply to the General surely it should be the clubs asking for a big signing on fee, so the the players will not move away or let the clubs down.

The Mining League already requests a £50 deposit which they will forfeit if they pull out of the league during the season.

Why should the league make a further charge, as the clubs say the charges are to high now.

It must be hard to keep players in the camborne redruth area as so many different teams to choose from. Cant help with new teams joining leagues from that area. These are just a few i can think of Illogan,Holmans,Troon,Storm,West Cornwall,Redruth utd,Cornish new boys, robartes,CSOM,Mount ambrose, portreath, praze, trevenson, titans, lanner,. Cant be easy either when clubs have more than 1 team aswell.

if financial reasons are why they are pulling out what is going to change by next year? is this another bunch of lads thinking they want an easier time in a lower league, which seems to be happening more and more, madron fielding suspicously different sides in the mining league for example! i fully appreciate difficulties in getting teams together but i struggle to think a team in fal/hel 1 are that hard up that they cant field 11 players, granted they may not get the results they feel they deserve due to not having the standard of players, but i'm sure relegation would be better for everyone and then rebuild, rather than starting in div 3 and feeding egos.

this is not the case with camborne park.they are victims of their own success.they went from div.3 up to div.1 then tried to run two sides until most of the first team left for pastures new.this left them looking for new players and most of the second team from the previouse year playing for the first team.
