Soccer Follower Posted October 17, 2010 Author Report Posted October 17, 2010 I think that both teams enjoyed the game Lee,i know that i did.Not the best of days for either goalkeeper.lol Also Truro GWRSA 8 MPad Utd 1
Mark Picken Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Truro GWRSA 8 v MPAD UTD 1 Shocking second half for us after being 1 - 0 down at half time, although that could have been more. Started to find our feet after about 30 minutes and did create a few good moves, but then in the second half they just cut us apart time and time again. Too many of our players went missing second half and they took advantage. We did have a couple of chances to reduce the deficit - a block on the line for one and Ben Manley hit the post for the other - but it would have made little difference. Pete Brewer got our consolation goal right at the end - if you can call it a consolation when you're eight down..... A good footballing team - fast, strong and good passers - totally different level to who we have played against this season, although I would say probably not the most gracious victors we've ever played against. Some of the abuse / banter we received on the sidelines was particularly funny, especially when the third goal went in. For a minute there we thought it was the Champions rather than the Sunday league Difficult to see anyone coming near them this season (although we've not seen Tremough yet)

Truro the better team by a long way. Our players all gave up at 3-0. On the not to gracious in victory. I think most of the players were ok. Didnt have a problem with them. Not a bad bunch of lads but that bloke on the sideline (manager????). I dnt think ive evr heard so much abuse. " That linesman is a f####ng cheat". I mustve heard that 7 or 8 times 1st half when he was about 60yards from the play. "2nd half he was in line and agreed with every decision. Each to your own i guess but was a bit much for me. The sun being out brought the spectators to life, a few interesting shouts but guess not much that can be said or done about that. Well done to Truro for there well deserved big win and thanks for the game
oldasitgets Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Crowntown 0 Penzance Astro 5 A bit unfair playing them twice in two weeks. We're hoping to play a different team next week. 2 - 5 last week, 0 - 5 this week. Spot the pattern? Next week we must lose -2 - 5 ??? Crowntown actually did better this week and competed well in all areas. With neither striker playing, it was always going to be a matter of damage limitation against a very good side. Full credit to the boys for keeping the challenge going right to the end. Many thanks to Ken Keemer for reffing the game st short notice - and making a very good job of it.

How about i think it was the 6th or 7th goal. I was on the floor watching yet another goal go in and all i heard was " stick that in your pipe and smoke it". I dont think ive evr laughed so much whilst conceding 8 goals!!!

Guest Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Camborne Park 3 Wendron 3 Really good game to be play in. Park going 1 nil up through mysef, then wendron brought it back to 1-1, then 2-1... then 3-1... Then super-sub Raz came on and scored twice in a matter of 3 minutes to bring us level.(I should have got a touch on the last one just to stop him from bragging) Wendron Keeper made two fantastic saves, one from a 1 on 1 with me, tipping the ball round the post, then again a brilliant save when Raz crossed the ball to me, 7 yards out, placing the ball to the left... Only for the keeper to somehow get his hand too it, injuring his jewells at the same point lol Park could probably feel they should have won the game today from the chance they had, but taking nothing away from Wendron who had a good few efforts on target! cheers for the game guys, see you again during the season if Im back from Injury.. (Fractured Cocyxx) all the best
jobysdad Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Crowntown 0 PZ Astropark 5 Less players this week but also less with hangovers so I'll take some comfort from that. Good performance from the lads against a spirited Crowntown side. Probably could've scored more but that's 3 clean sheets in a season which is probably nearly as many as we've kept in the 10 years we've been playing in this league! If the game goes ahead v Tremough 2 next week that'll be halfway through our league season by November. Guess I'd better take up another sport come February! Scorers today: Luke Waller 2 Pete Waller Luke Howes Me (from 4 feet...) MOTM - Deco Cheers to Bill and the lads for a decent game and hospitality after, and to the ref.
