St Darren Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 Matt Eddy and Tom Benney for St Agnes Jowan May got one for St Just, don't know who got the other two. could have been more but our keeper made a couple of great saves! St Just deserved the win, but my life, the referee completely lost it!! I were his assistant, blatant hand ball for St Just 3rd goal, which I raised my flag for, but apparantly I was there to assist him and not make decisions like that! Even St Just manager said it was handball. 6 bookings and a sending off, could have been more as well! Not quite sure why I bothered on staying standing out there running the line when I wasn't allowed to assist him! but there we go, respect them we will!
JR 08 Posted October 16, 2010 Report Posted October 16, 2010 illogan scorers: ian cullingham and an excellant finish from danny williams

YoungPercy Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Mullion 1 Newquay 1 We have to feel frustrated that we couldnt take our chances this weekend and on another occasion we could and would have taken the three points, but Newquay themselves, could had taken all three points missing a couple of chances. Newquay started the brighter but Mullion grew into the game with Sean Haskell-Mills enjoying a lot of the possesion down the right-hand side, on another day he could have walked away with a hat trick, unfortuanatly for us he didnt. Daniel Reid came into the team in place of the absent Mark Pope and gave the Newquay defence a torrid time winning everything in the air. Sloppy marking at a set piece enabled Newquay to take the lead shortly after Tom Collins in goal for Mullion made a great one-on-one save after a 'hopsital' back pass by Dave Toy. But We didnt give up, and with 15 minutes to go Ben Wormington surged down the right produced a great cross to the back post and after a scramble in the box the ball fell to Joe Lugg on the edge of the box who placed the ball in the bottom corner, the keeper not having a chance as the shot came through a few bodies. Both teams had further chances to win the game but neither could capitalise. Stand out performer in the Mullion team was Lee Cattran again being a huge influence in the middle of midfield. We welcome back Rob Carey next week who was also absent this week, when we travel to Illogan, minus a few players due to a couple of Weddings. :drink:

Don't worry, everyone is doing it before they play Illogan this season.

Distinctive lack of a match report but lots of snide remarks towards other clubs :SM_carton:
cornishteddyboy Posted October 19, 2010 Author Report Posted October 19, 2010 skyblueref for once you write one. Our excuse, none. A simple goal to give away, a near post header from a corner. 8 players 18 or under, team members missing, we could make excuses but we won't. Match report on it's way by the way, being done this morning as part of tonight's Pz v Newquay programme. Plus if you look at the smiley after my comment in the last posting you must see my statement was made in jest. Perhaps all the fun and happiness has gone from Trevassick Park this season. Black cloud, etc, etc. Lighten-up it's only a game. Don't you think I might know these other posters and they know I am having fun? Will enjoy watching your first team play our reserves in the combo next season. :P

We may be in a lowly position right now but we go into every game believing we will come out with something, otherwise what would be the point of turning up. I was making the point of me myself not being there as well as one or two others who are at a seperate wedding, just unfortuanate timing.
