Harry_Breasbats Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Helston 4-2 Illogan Goldsworthy 3 Terry Rowe We deserved the win today and it could of been a lot more with Illogan keeper making some great saves and us hitting the up right. Very physical game played today and alot of football being played too. Great game for the neautral to watch. Illogan goals were direct from a corner with massve wind assist and 84th minute dubious pen for Hand ball against 'ever green' eddie dunn. best of luck for the season

Number13 Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Anyone know when the draw for the next round of the senior is? Also am I right in thinking that the big boys from the peninsular league join the fun in the next round?
THE WELL 66 Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 Morwenstow 1 v Perranwell 5 Thought Perranwell played some great football today in windy conditions,Domo and Shane Richards look avery good partnership.Hope the player who went off injured for Morwenstow is ok,great club house and food after the game. Well reffed by Mr Nute and his linesmen.Good luck to Morwenstow for the rest of the season. Dicky D
Perranwell Twins Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 loooong journey that! great day all round :smiley20:
David Bray Posted October 10, 2010 Report Posted October 10, 2010 Sticker 5 Roche 2. aet. Watched the 2nd half and e/t. Good game, thought Roche were going to win it, but late Andrew Butler goal [ took it well] sent the tie into extra time. Early e/t pen put the home side ahead. After that there was only going to be one winner. Credit to both sides for an entertaining game considering the strong wind blowing from end to end. Nice cup of tea at the end of normal time, cheers

Borough Massive Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 St Dominick 0-1 St Stephens Borough Great result for Borough on Saturday after an indifferent start to the season for one reason and another. First ever win for Borough at St Dominick as well. Credit to St Dominick though who have a good team and should be challenging for promotion at the end of the season. I Like the Senior Cup as the Referee's assistants are neutral. (Bit different from playing at Wadebridge the week before). Anyway, home draw please in next round and well done lads for sending the Borough Masive home happy.
Guest green street Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 i watched liskeard beat st blazey 1-0 but what should have been a good game played by too good teams was spoiled by a very very very poor ref , who must have thought it was x-mas with the amount of cards he handed out in a game which had only one bad takle in. if this is the standard of refs then god help cornish football!!!!!!!!!!!1

goodsense Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Gary my old mucker hows things long time no see. You would of been so so proud the way I was able to twist and turn in mid flight and still landed in style, I did sound like a consterpated ape when I was laying on the deck trying to speak. Mr Nute and Mr Down said how funny it looked , but christ didn`t it hurt still very sore and might have to pull ones self off Saturdays game if it don`t improve soon. Lucky I`m such a Fat B~~T~~D or I might of broken something as it is I believe that Morwenstow will have to get at least 10 ton or fill to replace the massive dent I produced as I landed. and the after shock was felt need Bude. Hope the season is going well and I hope I get to see you soon so we can both get a wet shirt. all the best goodsense the human wrecking ball

MQ MQ i felt very sorry for your team on saturday as it is the worst performace by a ref i have ever seen he should realise that us paying spectors didnt come to watch him but to watch the football! i got told after that he was being assesed in which case he should never ref again as he was a joke !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Martin McHugh Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 I agree, I think the tackle warranted a red card purely for bad timing which would have resulted in a much worse injury if he had been caught on the leg. Apart from that both teams played some decent football and in all honesty the ref struggled with the last 30 minutes. Up until then you could have forgiven some decisions but the only winner on the day will be the CCFA.
Martin McHugh Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 I kept my comments professional and my personal thoughts to myself!! Refs are only as good as the players around them!
