I was the second team keeper last season and I have been playing first team this season, but due to several reasons I have decided to go back to playing outfield, and therefore played up front as a lone striker for the second team :).

Trispen 2-1 Troon

A game ruined by the strong wind.

Troon took an early lead with a shot into the top corner and Trispen equalised just before half time.

Evenly fought by both teams throughout, the game seemed to be heading for a draw when it was won late on with some clever trickery coming in along the byline and the pass was blasted in.

Don't think that it will be too long before Troon start picking up points with this squad of players.

falmouth athletic res 4-1 west cornwall

well contested game by 2 attacking sides, atheletic went in at the break 3-0 up after controlling the majority of the 1st half but failing to take full advantage of our domination with more goals, west cornwall started the 2nd half with a goal after 15 mins or so, this gave us the kick in the ass we needed to sort ourselves out, going and scoring 10 mins later. full credit to west cornwall who carried on rite until the end but we stayed strong until the end to take a well earned 3 points and stay top of the table

Fal/hel 1 mullions 0 st Agnes reserves 4

There was a very strong wind going right between the goals, making it a real game of 2 halves. St Agnes went against the wind in the first half and created a few chances including a penalty (for handball) which was taken by Spencer Hassel but well saved by the keeper. Big Graham Gritthys also made a couple of decent saves for the Saints on his return. HT 0-0.

With the wind in their sails second half, Aggie quickly took control with Paul Blake's left shin stroking the first home after a good move down the right flank. 2 other goals were then scored by Spencer Hassel and Sam Connolly to make it 3-0.

The best goal of the lot was scored by Jimmy Gazzard who rose powerfully from a Tom Hills corner to beat several defenders in the air and score a bullet header into the top corner from at least 10 yards out....

Was a well contested game with both sides trying to play football through the wind.

Good luck to the Mullion lads and a mention to the ref who had control all the way through.

Dunno about the bullet header Jim I thought my scorching drive was hard to beat!

Up the Aggies!!!

Lizard 4-3 Stithians

A topsy turvy game. Stithians took the lead with the elements in their favour but didnt make the most of it and conceded two goals before half time.

In the second half Stithians started playing more football and made it 2-2 then 3-3 when Lizard scored again.

It looked like it was going to finish all square but Lizard found a winner in the last minute to win 4-3.

A tough trip for many teams down there this season

Maybe fair result in the end long ball tactics and long throws caused us problems all game, scoring 2 og doesnt help the fact either worked to your advantage though. We couldn't pass first half came back into it in the second half thats football for you well played

Asked the ref Ben and there were 3 minutes left!!! Poachers finish! You played well up front, looked offside but we would have been happy to take it at that stage. Game ruined by the wind and had 0-0 written all over it until your goal. Well done mate :clapper:

i wouldnt exactly say we used long ball tactics mate, both teams tried to play football and were both guilty at times of using the long ball, we maybe used it more in the 2nd half when you were putting the pressure on, we are not a long ball team, ask anyone we have played already, we want to get the ball down and play, sometimes needs must to win games, not going to get into an arguement on here about because that would spoil what was a very good game played by both sides, you got a good young side their that will get stronger

good luck for the rest of the season
