Mt ambrose 3 Trispen 3

I won't go into much detail, but the wind did nothing to help this game, Trispen were as poor as we've been all season and were rightly 3 nil down, but fair play to mount ambrose they played alot better than us in the first hour, and being 3 nil down kicked us up the backside.

We went onto gain a point which with our last 30 mins of play probably did warrant a point, our goals were scored by Elliott Jolly with a well taken left footed drive into the far corner, a deflected Rob Sharpe goal, and an Ian Mcdonnell strike which flew in over the keepers head.

But this wasn't a game that will go down in folklore, but well played Mt Ambrose and good luck for the season, good bunch of lads! :)

First game for CSM against the tough Illogan boys, who I give full credit to for being not only the best team we have played since we started but also being a genuinely nice team to play against... makes one hell of a difference when a team tries to play football!!

Conditions not helping and inevitably Illogan, with the wind in the second half took control, after trailing 2-1 at the interval. The game finished 6-2, an unfair reflection on the way the School of Mines boys played, and I'm sure Illogan will agree the game was a much closer affair with CSM missing chances at crucial times.

Good luck to Illogan for the rest of the season, we look forward to the return fixture where hopefully we wont be affected by the wind and to a game that hopefully on the scoresheet will be much closer!

Gwinear CT 1 - 0 TMS .

Home side had to have a reshuffle with captain fantastic away and injuries but looked solid from start to finish working hard for each other. Always going to be ruined by the wind today and it was really. Gwin played well against the wind TMS keeper blocking a few efforts and the home side wasteful in front of goal.

TMS never really got going and the home keeper only forced into action twice , once after gifting them the ball and making up for his mistake with a cracking save and then a good header from a corner. So it was that an OG settled it ! Ref was very serious but did a fine job taking no prisoners ! Good luck TMS until we meet again. :drink:

Fair report of the game. The wind was a big factor for both sides. We had a lot of possession in the 1st half and were aggrieved not to of added more than the 2 we scored. Trispen had their chances in the 1st half from set pieces which by hook or crook we managed to clear. We knew the second half was going to be a different story and thought we had done the hard work in adding our 3rd. But as the half wore on Trispen applied a lot of pressure and the third goal was a peach although our 'keeper is beating himself up about letting it in. It was an enjoyable game, some good battling and given the conditions some good football played at times. All the best to Trispen for the season.

Goonhavern 9-0 Sennen

Clinical finishing from us left a slightly flattering scoreline against a side that didn't give up.

Goalscorers: Sam Waters x3 (one a 45 yard chip), Lewis Waters x4, Marc Wilson and Dan Rolison.

All the best to Sennen, good bunch.

Praze 1 - St Buryan 3

Conditions ruined it today, ok we got the result but the wind direction was never an advantage. Rank!!

Fair play to Praze who gave us alot to think about but the lads matched it, especially our keeper who made some belting saves and his kicking was awsome despite the wind.

West Cornwall were the better side today on reflection the score could of been about 6-3 to west Cornwall.

Ref totally lost it today, not good enough really but west Cornwall deserved there win.

I think today was the only game in two years where we didn't score, at least as far as i can remember.

Titans 4 vs 0 Halsetown

Titans got off to a flyer scoring early through adam brown but this spurred halsetown into life and they started to cause titans few problems, then titans hit them with a sucker punch through wayne brown from about 30 yds lobbing the goalkeeper, the game stayed this way till the break. Second half started well for titans scoring early to make it 3 through stuart hull who had earlier missed a sitter from at least a yard :( , after this we put some pressure on the halsetown defence which managed to keep us out till late on when danny jewell popped up in the box to score a cracking header, all in all a good result for titans but halsetown will cause teams in this league a few problems young side with some good footballers and titans will practise shooting at training lol, good luck to halsetown till the return game.

Halsetown 2-1 Robarts (H/T 2-0)

Like most games yesterday the wind didnt exactly help!!

Halsetown started off with the wind with them and took a 2-0 lead into the half then it was a case of backs to the wall as robarts used the wind to their best but the halsetown defence did awesomly well, (if i do say so myself) until kyle roberts gave away a soft penalty which robarts converted well, then robarts had a player sent off for two kick outs on two players in about 30 seconds!!! :SM_carton:

Robarts got another penalty(thats 5 penalties against and 3 red cards in 3 games) with about 1 min to go in the game and big dusty did well to save it and keep halsetown in the lead and on to win the game.

Robarts as always are a good physical bunch of lads and its always a tight game between us, look forward to the return game but now its looking to next week and illogan away!!!

Madron have advised theleague that they are unable to raise two teams, and therefore their team from the third division is withdrwan.

At a League Management neeting on Friday night it was agreed that Madron should be permitted to withdral a team from the league. Undrr League Rules the second team playing in division two is therefore withdrawn and their results will be expunged.

CSOM 2 - 7 Illogan (2-1 ht)

Gareth pitt 2, Dave Thomas 1, Darren Holsey 1, Luke Healan 1, Stuart Peters 1 and Luke Abott-Smith 1

Played a good side today who tried to play football as much as possible which is always good to see. Played into a strong wind 1st half and managed to go 1 up, then csom equalized even though our keeper would have had it if he wasn't impeded, but ref felt different? Striker took their next goal well just before half time.

2nd half we managed to get the early goal we needed and forced CSOM to remain in their half most the game but they did still have a couple more chances through out the half but on reflection felt we more than deserved the win.

First time ive seen CSOM and I can see them doing well this year and causing a number of upsets with the football they play so all the best to them for the season.

If Madron have withdrawn from mining 3 what happens exactly with the points they have won off other teams and the fixtured games against the rest of the leagut? If a team has lost to them is that just tough luck and the rest of the league just get the 3 points off them?
