Dave Deacon Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Torpoint 5, Tavistock 1 Another good win for Torpoint at The Mill with two goals each from Adam Carter and Josh Grant, while Shane White back with the club got the other. Keeper Piper did his bit with a notable double stop and a great finger-tip save.
Dave Deacon Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Liskeard Athletic 3, Wadebridge Town 3 A goal feast at Lux Park with the Blues failing to hold on to the lead on three occasions! The third equaliser from Town five minutes before time, courtesy of an own goal header from Dan Tapper. Berry (2) and Kanakh scored for the Lux Park side while Andy Bowker was in charge of them for the evening and its also suggested he's been offered the position on a full time basis
Alfonso Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Buckland v Cullompton Result 3-0 Cully came with the intention to earn a point with putting 6men in defence and playing on the break, the keeper was even time wasting early in the first half and trying to break up play with numerous silly fouls.once Bucks scored this upset their plan and only then came out of their shell. Buckland scored on 74 mins whem si revs turned well in the box and shot into the net. Buckland got the second from a cross from the left was headed into the net by the central defender for a og giving the young goalie no chance. Buckland got a 3rd in the last minute when Marc Revs put his brother through to slot the ball under the keeper to make the final score 3-0 Attendance 103 on a wet and drizzly night at homers. To get 3pts and not to play well is a good thing but Bridport on Sat will give the yellows a sterner test, in the FA vase.

hammers Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Falmouth v St Blazey, This was the one game that I expected to be close, in the first half there was not a lot to choose between the two teams although Falmouth had the better chances & never made them count, the second half it was all Falmouth, & I was disappoint that St Blazey did not continue to play the way that they played in the first half, instead they reverted to playing the offside trap, no doubt hoping to catch Falmouth out with some long forward balls. but the falmouth defence held firm & handled everything that St Blazey tried in an attempt to unsettle them, & Falmouth punished St Blazey by beating the off side trap, & the Score could have been even greater with a bit better finishing,a lot of the St Blazey suporters took down their flags & left at least 10 minutes before the end, Credit to both teams the match was played in a good & friendly manner, I met Paul for the first Time & I found him to be a very nice young man I was hoping to meet Dan, But Paul told me that he only got back from Italy around 7pm, Falmouth 4 St Blazey 0, Hammers :c:

hills19 Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Hoping Saltash can get a good result at Dartmouth tonight
cornishbaggie Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 a lot of the St Blazey suporters took down their flags & left at least 10 minutes before the end, The flags were taken down, but rest assured Nobody left before the final wistle !
Guest Travelling fan Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Does anybody know what the line ups were at Bickland Park on Tuesday evening? a lot of the St Blazey suporters took down their flags & left at least 10 minutes before the end, The flags were taken down, but rest assured Nobody left before the final wistle !
Guest Uncle Albert Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Bodmin Town 3 Penzance 1 Chris Luxton (21 and 57 minutes) and Steve Ovens (28 minutes) for Bodmin. Nick Pugliese (63) for Penzance. Bodmin were not at full strength - they started without Hodge, Reed, Matthews, O'Hagan and Swiggs - and they were far from their best but they had the game sewn up before the hour. Perhaps it was too comfortable, because Penzance were much improved in the second half and after Matt Shiels missed an open goal, Nick Pugliese reduced the arrears. After the game Darren Gilbert could be heard out on the pitch handing out a severe rollicking to his players. He wasnt best pleased with their performance.

cornishteddyboy Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Penzance were missing 4 players last night at Bodmin. Should be back for this weekend's game at Saltash in the Vase. With the run The Ashes are having the Magpies might have a good chance of progressing. Either way, whoever wins has a home tie against either Newquay or Porthleven. Now that should be a cracker.
cornishbaggie Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 Cornishbaggie, No comment on the game Falmouth V St Blazey ? Hammers, Hmmm no not really, i think you just about have it covered. I only needed to correct your misinformation.
hammers Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 Thanks CornishBaggie, Thats Just the sort of Answer that I would have given if St Blazey had won, & as we both know one should not gloat over a win because of history, One would be a fool to do so, What a difference to the attitude of that idiot of Spurfect who sees no good in any other team but the Spurs, we have quite a wait but maybe when Falmouth come to St Blazey I will be able to meet you & Dan, as I have already met Paul, Who by the way was impressed with the improvements of the Falmouth ground, Hammers, :c:
