LG 74 Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Carharack 1 - Porthleven Rangers 1 (FHFL 3) Its been a miserable week for Rangers where we have lost 6 points for having an unsigned 16 year old in our squad and then have had to cancel two games due to a lack of numbers. As it turned out it this was a fair result in the end. We could of been out of sight by half-time but then again Carharck responded well and could easily of snatched it. Enjoyable game even if I was struggling to see the ball towards the end as darkness crept in, best of luck Carharack for the rest of the season.
Jamie C Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 ooo i cant put the result lol... sod it i will anyway! CARHARRACK RES 1 - 1 PORTHLEVEN RANGERS WILKES YEH GOOD GAME WITH BOTH CREATING CHANCES. CARHARRACK REALLY COULD OF WON THE GAME AND REALLY WE SHOULD HAVE IN THE 2ND HALF. BUT THATS FOOTBALL. IT WAS VERY DARK AT THE END, I ALMOST WENT TO TURN MY CAR LIGHTS ON! WELL PLAYED TO PORTHLEVEN AND BEST OF LUCK FOR THE SEASON HOPE YOUR FORTUNES CHANGE CAUSE YOUR NICE BUNCH! ALSO RESULT IN FAL 3 MAWNAN RES 4 - 3 FAL ATH (I HEARD) LEAGUE WIDE OPEN AFTER ST.DAY DREW. I THINK DIV 3 IS WHERE THE FUN IS THIS SEASON! NICE TO SEE A CROWD FOR THE GAME! THEY GOT A GOOD GAME. MAYBE PEOPLE SHOULD GIVE UP PAYING TO WATCH THE HIGHER LEAGUES AND SEE A DIV 3 GAME. CAUSE ALOT OF PEOPLE SAID IT WAS GOOD TO SEE FOOTBALL BEING PLAYED! :yahoo:
Guest Monty Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Hi Jamie, Why do caharrack res play at clijah croft.
Magic Mike Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Hi Jamie, Why do caharrack res play at clijah croft. Can't have them playing on the hallowed turf at ting tang! thats just for the 1st's
Guest Monty Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 I realise that Ting Tang is a great set up, but why throw money away to rent Clijah when you have a perfect set up in your own village.
Deano11 Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 heard mawnan beat fal ath 2nds 5-4 with 2 last minute goals
Richard Chown Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Monty, I hope I can answer your question. We have one pitch which although is great during the sunny period however during hard rain it can hold alot of water. The club has experiemnted to see how many games can be played on the pitch. The ideal situation is to have two pitches but thats is a case of funding. The problem is once you give up a pitch a Clijah Croft you will never get it back and with the club being in a decent financial situation through sponsorship and advertising, it has been decided to play at Clijah on weekends and when possible on our main pitch during weekdays. The dream is to have two pitches side by side with another changing rooms.
ledley Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 heard mawnan beat fal ath 2nds 5-4 with 2 last minute goals You heard correct. One for the crowd this game Athletic went 2 up before Mawnan came back to level it and then go on to be 3-2 up.Atletic looked dead in the water at this stage but showed good fighting spirit to go 4-3 up with about 5 mins to go.The dark came in and two late freekicks well placed but unseeable for the excellent athletic keeper flew in.Well done mawnan albeit with some considerable help from there first team, must have really wanted the points.Athletic should take comfort from this with there regular second string.

I agree ledley, certainly one for the crowd. A great game to watch with at times some great football being played by both teams. Some nice touches from DJ in the middle of the park from Mawnan, and similarly from Jay for athletic, just to pick a few from many. Early days in the season but like you said i think athletic can take alot a positives from the game,2 late goals would hurt any team so i dont think they should take it to heart! Great strikes from AJ though to be fair! Good luck to both for the remainder of the season. I know referees get some stick, just wanna take a minute to give credit to Chris he let the game flow lovely! :clapper:
