The Gooner Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Mousehole 1 Dobwalls 2 The dobwalls youngsters showed character to bounce back from being behind at the break to gain a valuable 3 points. With a strong breeze blowing at Trungle Park the hosts had the better of the first half. They made good use of wind and slope and put the visitors under pressure which eventually paid off when they scored from a defensive error. Dobwalls young keeper Ben Hardie made a couple of outstanding saves to keep his team in touch. The second half belonged to the visitors. With the introduction of Steve Tapper who has returned to the club after a spell at Liskeard the team had a better shape about them and they pressed forward time and again. They were soon level when fullback Bromhead ran past a number of defenders to unleash a powerful shot into the roof of the net. Twenty minutes later Shaun Jones gave the visitors the lead with a 25 yard thunderbolt into the top right hand corner. Mousehole tried in vain to salvage something from the game but couldn't breakdown the determined visitors defence. A lot of people will be surprised by the way the club has performed having lost most of last years team and managers only a few weeks before the season started. Paul Andrews young squad still have a lot to learn but they are an enthusiastic bunch who will no doubt cause an upset or two this season.
