RAPPO Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 FHL DIV 1 CARHARRACK (1) 3 (Rapsey 33,81 Bray 76) CONSTANTINE (0) 5 (Trathen 54,???? ) Can't believe we lost really!! Dominated the 1st half and should have been 4 or 5 up ht,then my old strike partner Traths pulls one of his specials out the bag and we fell apart until good goals from Liam Bray and some old grey haired fat striker who smashed a left footer in the top corner for an 81st minute winner but NO! Tine had other ideas and scored 3 goals in the last 8 minutes!!!!! Some good strikes from their young lads but 3 points thrown away by us. Good luck to Tine for rest of the season, good bunch of lads.Well reffed by Mr Lee Mitchell.Wish some more ex players would take up the whistle. :clapper:

Guest Bundiwilliams Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 division 1 mawnan 1- 0 portreath good outfit today, there 3 guys in the middle played well, defenders really dominated today, both sets of centre backs shut out chances. the game was ruined with there goal, striker brings it down lovely using his hand and smashes into the corner. if we had played shit i wouldnt have minded but to lose to that kind of a goal was a right kick in the nuts for the boys today. if they are predicted to do well this year then i think my boys will also do well. we were missing afew faces but we have a good squad now and players are there to fill spaces!!! thanks to mawnan for todays game, nice little set up down there and they were a decent bunch!!!!

west cornwall player Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 St day 3 v westcornwall 2 west Cornwall scorer Ian Chatfield 2 The game was well played with 2 decent teams end to end stuff at times. We westcornwall went one goal down with about 20 mins or so gone. We replyed to make it 1-1, we then went down 2-1 with mistake well finished. We then scored from a corner through them not clearing but well taken goal to equilise at 2-2. Second half was bit scrappy from both teams we didn't create altot, couple of half chances but none take our keeper pulling of some decent saves which kept the game tight. Then the refferee for me had the worse 10 minutes I could claim, I'm not one to moan but sending our keeper off was a mistake. Being a keeper myself any chalenge in the keeper while claiming a ball in the air was a free kick. This didn't apply at this incident with our keeper being bundled to the floor. In his response to the referee I don't know if he swore but mentioned why wasn't that a foul, refferee at this point actually went nuts and gave him straight red. I think both sets of players thought it was harsh as knowing the player he wouldn't of swore at the referee. One of my players then got booked for constant moaning fair enough. But he then booked me after asking him what's happening about a seperate free kick that happened, think our player got kicked in the mouth resulting to a bloody lip meaning his foot must of been high in the first place but never gave us a free kick and gave st day a free kick what was a soft foul. I only asked about why wasn't that a free kick for us and booked me. Some of the st days players reacted to some of our challenges but nothing was done by the refferee about this to give free kicks against us all day and to book some of our players is a joke. The FA ask for this respect campain but it comes from the refferee if he doesn't show respect to being fair to both sets of teams you earn that respect. When I approaced him during the game and after he couldn't give me reasons why he made those decisions, if he had reasons to back up his actions fair enough. But couldn't give reasons resulting in mr thinking did he have control over the decisions he made I doubt it. Not putting anything against st day it was a good game of end to end football but the sending of with our keeper with about 10 mins left changed the result in them scoring with about 5 mins to go. Let's hope this can be sorted out like decent people although we go on about we can't play if we have no officials if this was to happen to often the FA needs new teams in joining local leagues it's hard enough getting 11-14 players each week just want the referees to be fair good game

Wasnt our best performance, Marazion were the better side for long periods of the game, combination of poor finishing and quality goal keeping by our big guy in goal. Marazion look a good side as they usually do and have a lot of positives too take. Athletic keep the ball rolling making it 5 out-of 5 wins so far

Midlandsman Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Chacewater 0 Mousehole 4 Bad day at the office - too many players missing from a small squad. 1st visit to this lovely ground and made very welcome by the home faithful. The First half was a very even affair with both sides missing mant chances mainly the home club so Mousehole took the lead just before the interval. Before I could get my cera out for the 2nd half, the visitors had doubled their advantage. he homesters were then awarded a penalty, but the Mousehole keeper was up to the task of making a very good save and after that it seemed that it spurred them on to 2 more goals whilst Chacewater's heads went down. A nice club, where I was shocked when the woman charged me 30p for a cup of Nescafe, in our league its 80p plus! I had to ask her twice as I thought my hearing a going lol Nice to meet a gentlemen off here and couldnt remember his nickname but we hada good chat about Wendron and his lad was playing number 12 for Chacewater and great to go back to the pub and have a chat with the President and the Secretary and thanks for the pint and J20 for my wife who was asleep in the car for the match after driving all the way down from Mansfield. Midfield Marvel Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Fal Hel div 1 Fal Athletic 2-0 St Agnes This was a close game which Athletic shaded in the end. Aggie had 5 of the starting 11 missing which was a real shame after a 100% start to the season so far. First goal came after about 30 mins on the break, a well worked move. Aggie dominated possession for long periods especially in the second half and were probably the better team but with both strikers missing we struggled to get on the score sheet. Athletic always looked dangerous on the counter and scored the killer goal with about 20 minutes to play. The referee certainly took control of the game although there were definitely a couple of big decisions that weren't given and could have made a difference to the result.
