Money Man Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 AFC St Austell are pleased to announce the signing of Striker Mike Body. Body was the clubs top scorer for the previous 2 seasons and returns following a brief spell at Foxhole. Money Man
Suebo Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Good signing there Money Man. Should be a much needed addition to our squadand hopefully can pick up from where he left off.
Tony Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Excellent. I (and many other fans I think) would have been pleased to see Bods back even before Shaughnessy got injured against Bodmin. He gives us a different option up front with his speed and of course has a great scoring record. What betting on him scoring the winner on Saturday v Royal Marines Any potential defensive signings in the pipeline? With the injuries & absentees we have, the squad is looking very stretched and Bodmin proved you can't get away at this level with players playing with injuries and/or in makeshift positions. We've been very unlucky on that front this season so far, let's hope things will settle down a bit now.
dave bunt Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 A bit quick off the mark Chappers Foxhole only agreed to waive the 7 days at lunchtime
CrApPy Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 A bit quick off the mark Chappers Foxhole only agreed to waive the 7 days at lunchtime Typical Money Man!

Tony you are right we have been very unlucky with Injuries this season, but we have got Whieldon,Mulready, Parsons and Slates back on saturday. On the potential signings front...... we are working very hard to bring in some additional new faces and Body is one of 2 or 3 that we ar hoping to secure in the coming week. Money Man
Money Man Posted September 9, 2010 Author Report Posted September 9, 2010 A bit quick off the mark Chappers Foxhole only agreed to waive the 7 days at lunchtime Sorry Dave , got a meeting at 15.00 and wanted to let people know... Many Thanks to Foxhole FC in the professional way that you have dealt with this matter.
Adlestrop Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 "On the potential signings front...... we are working very hard to bring in some additional new faces and Body is one of 2 or 3 that we ar hoping to secure in the coming week." Does this imply that you made the wrong signings at the start of the season. Bods a GREAT signing.
The Gooner Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 A bit quick off the mark Chappers Foxhole only agreed to waive the 7 days at lunchtime You have got yourself fit over the summer Dave?

Understand that after only having 11 players available on Saturday against Bodmin and also losing Pat to a serious injury we need a bigger squad. Therefore we need to bring in players to help establish us in the Prem for this year.
RealSousa Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 I think all the right signings were made and unfortuantely St. Austell lost a great signing in Rob Stapleton. When all the strikers are fit there is definitely some firepower in the team.
luxpark 5 Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 its great to see body back at st austell it has been a very up and down start to the season results wise, we knew it wasn't going to be easy but to have been knocked with injuries and people away etc it has led to us dropping points and being at our best, hasnt been easy on the defence because off the injuries however nor has it been easy on midfield as the have had to fill in at the back, we have got players returning which is a great boost for us and im sure we will get it on track and pick up from where we left off last season i loveeee town.
Adlestrop Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 But surely your opponents must also have had injuries and unavailabilities. Can't be only St.Austell that have been understrength!
luxpark 5 Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 well seeing as the teams we have played looked to have had a full bench them im guessing it is so far!
baldy Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Makes you wonder why he left in the first place?
