Arsenal fan Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Division 3 Ludgvan 1 - 2 Newlyn A good display by the Newlyn keeper in the first half kept them in the game. We had our chances but didn't put them away. Ludgvan goalscorer - Nick Lane
Mama Sidibe Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Mining One Illogan 2-2 Goonhavern Thoroughly deserved point for us tonight, if anything we're slightly disappointed that we didn't come away with 3 points. Goonhavern goals came from a Joe Carlyon brace, the second a last minute free kick in off the post. Very competitive game which was well reffed. All the best to Illogan.

maldini123 Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 St Just Res 0 - 2 Carbis Bay A poor game by our standards, but sometimes you play bad and win so we'll take the 3pnts and a clean sheet. Thanks to st just for food and game
Fatso Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Storm Lost to Trevenson 1-5 in a game that highlighted Storm's lack of pre-season action. I had to play 90 mins which shows how badly players are required in certain positions (first 90 mins since early 2009). Playing at centre-half, and middle of midfield, and doing myself no great favours in the process (got hopital scan booked for Monday so may have an excuse then!), but there were still signs of a great atmosphere at the club, and a willingnes to improve this season. Everyone had fun, more players due to return soon, so positive things to say despite the result. Trevenson a great bunch of lads, had a good laugh with a few of them. Top striker in JJ, best of luck for the season. Pricey.

Gee Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 Illogan 2 - 2 Goonhavern Stuart Peters, Luke Abbott-Smith Draw a fair result I would say, we went in at half time 2-0 up which was flattering and then second half although a draw was a fair result it was difficult to take when the 1st of the gooners goals was a back pass to keeper that bobbled straight over his foot and the 2nd was a free kick (which I didnt touch him on) in the last minute which was superbly taken placed top corner giving keeper no chance. We didn't play well today against a good goonhavern side but long way to go this season. All the best
mikeyp Posted September 9, 2010 Report Posted September 9, 2010 ILLOGAN RES 2 GOONHAVERN 2 A POINT WOZ A FAIR RESULT AT THE END OF THE DAY, GOONHAVERN STARTED THE GAME BETTER OF THE TWO SIDES, BUT AFTER 20 MINS ILLOGAN STARTED TO TAKE CONTROL AND TOOK THE LEAD WITH STU PETERS, 5 MIN BEFORE HALF TIME ILLOGAN WENT 2-0 UP WITH A LUKE ABBOTT-SMITH PEN AFTER RYAN TRELOAR WOZ BROUGHT DOWN IN THE BOX. CREDIT TO GOONHAVERN WHO CAME OUT 2ND HALF FIRED UP READY TO HAVE A GOOD GO AT US, WHERE MANY TEAMS ROLL OVER AT OXLAND PARK THEY ROLLED THERE SLEVES UP AND PUT ON A GOOD 2ND HALF DISPLAY. THEY PULLED A GOAL BACK 5 MIN INTO THE 2ND HALF AFTER A BACK PASS LED TO ALLAN BUCKLEY MISKICKING THE BALL ALLOWING THE GOONHAVERN PLAYER WITH A SIMPLE TAP IN. BOTH TEAMS HAD A COUPLE OF CHANCES BUT IT WAS'NT UNTILL 2 MIN FROM TIME THAT GOONHAVERN GOT THERE EQUALISER FROM A WELL TAKEN FREEKICK. THIS IS OUR BEST START TO A SEASON FOR FEW YEARS AND HOPE THE RESULTS CONTINUE COMING. EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT US AND TTHREEMILESTONE FOR THE LEAGUE BUT ON THIS DISPLAY I THINK GOONHAVERN ARE A DARK HORSE AND ONE TO WATCH. WELL DONE TO GOONHAVERN AND ALL THE BEST FOR THE REST IOF THE SEASON AS FOR US ITS GWIINEAR AT HOME ON SAT. HOPEFULLY 3 POINTS MIKEY P
