Illogan RBL goalkeeping situation

Illogan have 4 goalkeepers and only 3 teams, i've heard that there undecided on the 2nd team keeper spot so how about posting your comments and having a go at the poll (this could just be a rumour)

shaun has been at illogan a long time and is a very good keeper. good enough to play combo for a long time but likes to stay at illogan. he was second team keeper last season and surly unless he has done something wrong to warrant a drop should keep his place?

the youngster is quality .give him the chance to prove it :clapper::thumbsup:

Craig Clinton is s very good yougster and will no doubt become a good senior goalkeeper in time. Alan Buckley is still a top keeper and will cause any manager a headache at whatever club hes at as to where he should play!! As an ex manager and a goalkeeper most managers at senior level like and older more experianced keeper. Buckley still quality and a lovely bloke to go with it. He will be the 1st to be called from Steve to the 1st team if Barry gets injured so I would say Alan and young Craigy Clinton in the 3rds. Only my opinion mind

If Craig Clinton is as good as his dad Shaun was ,he will be one hell of a keeper.We were lucky at Perranwell to have Shaun & Wacko over the years in goal,now illogan have both thier sons playing for them ,good times ahead.

i agree totally alan is the best goalkeeper at this level or combo in my opinion and i know i am biased but he is!!!

steady on chubbs the poll is not asking about the future of the club its asking who is the best now . in my opionion its alan by a mile

As third team manager, the club is in a very fortunate position of having 4 quality keepers which is normally such a problem position for this level. Craig Clinton has been my keeper this season and I have no complaints at all. Shaun Carter has helped us out on a couple of ocassions while craig has been with the first team. Shaun has played very well for us too. So from my point of view its good to know that the clubs goalkeeping situation is in such 'good hands' (excuse the pun!!)

well sammo i think it is alot closer than that,there is hardly anyhting to choose between all 3 of them.i it wi be interesting to see who stays and fights for the shirt and who moves on to a easy shirt. :smiley20:

AS 2ND TEAM MANAGER THOUGHT I SHOULD SAY SUMTHING. ALL 3 R VERY GUD GOALKEEPERS AND ALL BRING THERE OWN SUMTHING 2 THE TEAM. CRAIG BRINGS YOUTH, ALAN EXPERIENCE, AND SHAUN IS LOYAL 2 THE CLUB. THE SITUATION AT THE END OF THE DAY IS NO DIFFERENT TO AN OUTFIELD PLAYER FOR EXAMPLE, WEVE BROUGHT IN LUKE ABBOTT-SMITH, MARK MILLER, ROB BRAY AND STUART PETERS WHICH MEANS PLAYERS THAT HAV PLAYED FOR THE LAST 2 SEASONS ARE ALSO UNDER PRESSURE AND WILL ALSO FIND THEMSELF IN THE 3RDS. AT ILLOGAN WERE LUCKY TO BE IN THE SITUATION WHERE WE HAV 3 GUD TEAMS AND A GRAET FOUNDATION AND IN MY EYES WEN U GO DOWN INTO THE 3RDS U WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN WEATHER YOUR A GOALKEEPER OR OUTFIELD PLAYER.

WATEVER CHOICE IS MADE WILL B THE BEST FOR OUR SQUAD, THEN MY HEART GOES OUT TO PAUL IN THE 3RDS WHO WILL HAV A BIG CHOICE TO MAKE HIMSELF [sORRY PAUL]

Alan buckley has 2nd team spot all the best to him, mikey, mark and all the 2nd team great to have 5 yrs wid the 2nds go win the league for the 3rd year running and the junior cup, dunn cup and arthur pearce :thumbsup:
