Paul Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Whats happened at Tavi? All that ground work, good season last season, lots of players leave over the summer, and now a very poor start to the season. I really thought they might have been challenging but not with the current form. It also seems that Parkway are carrying on with the friday football theme. Any idea what the crowd was tonight? Why are the cornish teams not pushing for more friday football??

The Villains Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Bovey Tracey 1 Ivybridge 5. (Joe Truelove 2, Dennis Mason, Sam Stevens and Jamie Middleton) Evenish game until Ivybridge opened the scoring and raced into a 3 - 0 lead. Bovey pulled a goal back put never looked like getting back into the match. Ivybridge added 2 more goals for good measure and could and should have had more. Overall Ivybridge deserved the 3 pts. Crowd of about 70 ish.

Alfonso Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Liskeard 1 Buckland 3 Buckland took a well deserved 3 pts at lux park this afternoon, but were made to work hard for the pts. Buckland got an early Pen but the keeper saved the shot from Si revs. The blues took the lead when the ball was lost on the right of midfield the player crossed the ball and the Liskeard forward bundled the ball in at the far post. Buckland equalised when S Gill ran onto the ball from a clearance out of defence and Gilly beat the onrushing goalie and looped the ball into a open net HT 1-1 Buckland were now playing down the famous slope, and had a lot more possesion. a run down the left and with a cross from the Buckland winger, Gilly got infront of his marker heading the ball out of the reach of the home goalie. 2-1 Buckland got a 3rd when another cross from the right found Boothy free at the far post heading over the keeper and into the net. Give Liskeard credit they never gave up but the away keeper Baker playing against his old club were not troubled and Buckland saw out time giving them their 6 win out of 6, and siting top of the pile. A word of praise for the Liskeard Ground staff as the pitch was like a bowling green and in a perfect condition, to play football on the ground. My man of the match was M Booth for the Bucks and the central defender for Liskeard who i think was their captain.

kevin richards Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 FA VASE RESULT--ELMORE 2-PORTHLEVEN 3 A fantastic result & performance from every single one of my players. The 2nd Elmore goal in injury time made the scoreline look a lot closer than it really was. We had a great day out & now look forward to meeting Newquay at home in the next round on 18/9/10. Goal scorers for Port, Chris Lawrence, Paddy Gardner & Dan Stidwell. :smiley20:
Jimbo Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Kevin, well done to you and your team an absolutely fantastic result. We all look forward to our game in a fortnight.
The Gooner Posted September 6, 2010 Report Posted September 6, 2010 Dobwalls 1 Camelford 1 Cracking game of football with both keepers in outstanding form. A draw was probably a fair result.

Why are the cornish teams not pushing for more friday football?? A couple of seasons ago St Blazey were against friday evening football. Your Committee/Management team were quite impressed when you played Parkway on a friday evening and seen a very big attendance. Perhaps you should get your secretary to put an application for evening games at the start of the season. Just imagine to gate you would get against the like of St Austell, Bodmin and Liskeard at Home
