jolzy10 Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 Trispen 4 St Agnes 4 Great game to kick off our season a bit of a local derby, St agnes turned up with a young but very good side and started really brightly and rushed in to a 2 nil lead but fair play to trispen and there elders they got back into it with a well re-taken pen from Ian Mcdonnel but we fell asleep just before half time and went in 3-1 down. We then regrouped and came and second half with a bit more passion as it paid off when Elliott Jolly came off the bench to score with his 1st touch to get us back in it, Rob Sharpe then got taken out in the box and again Ian stepped up and buried the ball, all square! The game then ebbed and flowed when into injury time, we conceded a sloppy 4th and we thought that was it, but straight from kick off a great through ball from Sharpe, played in Stu Williams who kept his head and slotted home to equalise again, trispen did have a chance to claim the win but it did elude us, all in all probably a fair result, although at times Aggie knocked it about well. They have a good tidy little side and will more than compete, but Trispen's never say die attitude came eventually and got us a well hard fought point, well played to Aggie and see you at your place in the season!
