Jeff Stelling
Fal/Hel 3 Result West Cornwall 2 - 3 Falmouth Athletic West Cornwall scorer Ben Kellow (2) Disappointing from a West Cornwall point of view, felt we had the better of them at times but we gifted them the goals. 2 sloppy ones from set pieces which is particularly frustrating. To be fair to Falmouth they took there chances and we didn't. We went in at half time 0-1 down but felt that we had the better of the first half, our left winger Ben in particular was causing the Falmouth back 4 all sorts of trouble. We got ourselves a penalty early in the 2nd half, was a tad soft but have seen them given and seen them not given. Falmouth then scored 2 in fairly quick succession and had we not pulled one back pretty much straight away the game would of been over. The last 10-15 minutes were pretty scrappy with us throwing players forward to chase the equaliser and Falmouth doing well on their counter attacks. All in all a fairly even game and played in relatively good spirits, looking forward to meeting them again later in the season.

The penalty was indeed a "tad soft" more a well won penalty that you see won on match of the day,but the striker concerned had had a good game so pehaps on balance deserved to get something for himself. The ref did fall for for it though
