Hayle 2 ( Sam Charlton, Dominic Clemmens)- Newquay 1 ( Jamie Tipton)

I'm not sure how we won this game and Newquay will feel their possession will have deserved more.

Two young sides with the odd old head and sometimes the execution did not match the intent.

But we'll take the points without getting carried away.

Good luck to Newquay they'll get the rub of the green another day.

Perranwell 8-1 Holman SC

OUCH!!!!! Not the best start to the season for the boys from Blaythorne

On a positive note the new green kit and training tops looked pretty good after that it all went a bit downhill rather rapid!!!!

Perranwell 1-0 up in the first 3 minutes when "veteran" goalkeeper Adam Batchelor made a bit of a howler. A few to many players had an off day in defence resulting in an embarasing scoreline and Dom Pullen proved he's still a great target man upfront....still onwards and upwards and off to Kimmo's St Agnes on Tuesday.

Wendron scorers were mike o neil and rob dunn. Croud about 25. Wendron Missed a hatfull of chances, should have been 5-1 at half time, but we didn't take our chances. Andrew curnow made a great save in the last minute. Also heard the chap up front, broke his jaw, stuart i think. Hope he is ok.

Yep, agreed. Mike should have scored after 1 minute! Barney played well in the middle of the park for you. A more promising season ahead for you I reckon.

Stuart Nicholls broke his jaw in the collision with your keeper. Broken in 2 places, molar and k9 lost and others chipped. Having a plate put in tomorrow morning. Will probably miss the season now as he's having an ankle operation in November.

Our scorers were Stuart Nicholls, Darren Steadman, Matthew Gendall.
