Torpoint had a good combination of experianced 'old heads' and youth in their side, if they can hang on to all these players, then they will be strong contenders for the title,however this can be difficult for any 'third' team that can expect players to 'step' up to the 'seconds' at any time.

Saltash gave Torpoint a good test until a mix up between goalkeeper and defender resulted in an 'own goal' in the 56th min.

Saltash scorer was Kyle Oakenfull.

During a week that involved a certain amount of unneeded termoil in preperation for this tough start to the season, Saltash were not disapointed with the 100% put in by the players who turned out and have remained loyal.
