Friday 6th August:

Sticker (Duchy 3) 2 Grampound (Duchy 1) 5

An excellent performance with lots of chances created against a decent Sticker side who let there heads drop in the 2nd half. Scorers for Grampound: Steve Webb 4, Louis Mullan.

Saturday 7th August:

Roche (Duchy 3) 2 Grampound Reserves (Duchy 5) 2

Grampound's reserves battled hard throughout although surrendered possession far too easily but went in 1-0 up at half-time after good work from Jason Retallick, Tim Peers found the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the area. Roche scored 2 soft goals in the 2nd half to go 2-1 up before Jules Woodman headed home a free-kick from Peers in the last minute to equalise.

Negatives: We gave the ball away far too cheaply meaning we had to defend for long periods.

Positives: Superb workrate, commitment & spirit throughout - also a 2-2 draw against a team 2 leagues higher when playing poorly is a good result.

A mention must go to referee Tim Topham who was superb - he also refereed us against Gerrans & St Mawes Utd a couple weeks ago & although we lost that 6-0 he was superb that day as well - applies common sense throughout & explains all of his decisions.
