I believe Newquay have a little run out tomorrow night (Tues) at Mount Wise, cant recall but it might be against St.Mawgan.

Jim & Andy will be running the rule over some youngsters and trailists, as well as giving a few SWPL/Combo lads a run out before Saturdays away trip to Wadebridge.

friday 23/07/2010- Millbrook AFC (ECPL) 2-3 Liskeard FC (SWPL)

a good gane with most chances going to a liskeard side who just didnt seem to convert their chances

and a millbrook side who countered well and created two good goals but just let concentration slip

in the final 10 mins to let in a late goal. alot of possitives and look forward to seeing how the

visit of ivybridge will affect millbrook

Buckland Athletic v Tiverton Town Result 2-1

Tiverton took the lead early in the 1st half with Joe Bushin shooting inside the near post from just inside the penalty box, Danny Lewis equalised 5 mins later with a good shot across the face of the goal, gav Hammon opened his account for this year with the winner just before half time with a fine run with a fine shot. very hot at Homers and both teams used numerous changes after the break which disrupted the flow of the game.

Bucks have had a good pre season but the real stuff starts next week at Tavi where Bodmin are the opponents in the charity shield next Sunday 3.00

Mass has improved last year squad with some good signings in most positions but all of last year squad are still here with the exception of John Rimmer,Michael Booth looks to be a quality player signed from Tivvy.

Roll on the 1ST league game at launceston and the following week ar home to Radstock in the fa cup.

Best wishes to all CSWPL Tems for the forthcoming season lets have a good one.

As far as I no dave, they had every1 apart from Nanks and there 1st team keeper, we played class tonight and have a great side here, I felt we were much fitter then town and played by far the best football, Gary wheildons words " we taught them a lesson tonight " :-)

St Austell had one real shot on target all game, I dont think St Austell could of complained if it was 7 nil, St Dennis started brightly and always looked dangerous, St Austell defence always looked daunted by the presence of the Rickards, Scott Hill was always first to the ball when St Austell got the ball forward, and we out thought and out fought in midfield, think St Austell underestimated what we have developed at St Dennis over the last few years, BUT!!! Gary Wheildon was still a class act. Newquay next Tuesday at Mount Wise will be a really hard test for us though.

Firstly, well done St Dennis. Friendly or not, St Austell at full strength or not, it doesnt matter, this is a fantastic achievement for St Dennis.

Secondly, where does this actually leave St Austell?(And please dont give me the "its only a friendly" and its "early days" coz clearly there are some very blatant problems for St Austell ahead of their return to the top flight in Peninsula league.

Finally, where have you all gone suddenly?! Usually there is always a Town contributor on the forum by now after a St Austell game....i dont understand it!! ;)
