Goldeneye
I was talking about penalty shoot-outs recently when I remembered that the old Westward Television station ran a penalty shoot-out competition for, (I believe), teenagers. Can't remember who were the goalkeepers. From memory I believe it was probably about the early seventies. Does anyone have a memory of it? Is there anyone around who took part in it? Goldeneye
Thinking about this a bit more, the competition was for up and coming local footballers and took place over many weeks. I think the goalkeepers were probably the Argyle, Exeter and Torquay keepers. I'm fairly certain that one of the competitors was Peter Etherington. Pablo
One of those keepers was called Tony Burns I believe. He was at Argyle and previously with Arsenal.
