With the future or Ricky Cardew in question is it true that the club have much praised Kevin Taylor lined up as a possible replacement if Cardew were to step down from his present roll. If so how would this be recieved by an already very sucessful team.

Torpoint should do all they can to keep Rick he is a miracle worker no one could even come close to the job he does at the club

I think that he would be the top gaffer for the job.

why would rick be leaving still now having won the league and cup double? yes he has acheived great things, the best in the clubs history if im right but surely the cup will be eating away at him having lost a cup final twice!

Who ever gets the job has a fantastic squad baring in mind they all stay put and dont depart for the the guru. :clapper::clapper::clapper: :clapper:

Find it strange how it's half of the Torpoint team on here specualting about their own managers future, few conversations had up in Liverpool on the weekend was it lads?

I'd bet my house that Ricky Cardew is still the Manager come the first game in August...

speaking to the chairman of torpoint fc cardew is to become a director of football role overseeing all football issues at the club. New manager to come in but personally not KT for me

It's all just speculation (or a wind up).....been having a bit of banter with the Torpoint lads recently, but this thread has nothing to do with me (other than the topic of course).

As far as I'm aware Ricky is carrying on next season and good luck to him in going for No.4

Some nice comments and yeah, who wouldn't wanna work with a Championship winning side, but no-one has spoken to me and it's very much a case of unfinished business at Bere Alston.

We had a terrible 1st half of last season with a lot of injuries, suspensions and loss of form , but picked up in the new year, finishing with only one defeat in our last nine games.

Disappointed to draw four of the last five, despite being unbeaten and did okay to finish 7th but go into next season in the same vein as we did the one just finished and need to push on and make a challenge to the likes of Torpoint, Parkway and Saltash.

Bude will be all the better for a good first season in the top flight and I've a feeling that Sticker will be a lot stronger again next season andthen there's St Dennis of course.

Gonna be a very tough season in a very strong league....looking forward to it already and will defo be at Bere Alston.

Apparently Dean Cardew/Darren wills partnership to take over at torpoint. Also wuggy to become team captain after his heroics in liverpool and chappy scored the goals...
