winston
I should imagine it's because st day didn't have their so called ringers available perhaps they were playing for their primary club instead. And another shame that illogan have 2 teams win the league but have blocked the chance of the 2nd team players testing themselves in senior football because the 1st team like to be a big fish in a very small pond/puddle. What a brilliant post, and i totally agree!!! Illogan have won the combo league twice now since 1974, how dare they have such dominance without going up, utterly disgusting! lol
Josh_Dron
wendron 1 hayle 3 good end of season game, played in the right spirit. elliot harris scoring 2 adam northall the other, after going a goal down. hayle hit the post 3 times before elliot scored with an header from a dan magee cross. dan also assisted the other goals with crosses right on their heads. jasa pulled off some good saves to thwart the hayle strikers. well done to the groundsman for a lovely surface to play on. Wendron goal scorer was richard crowle. typical end of season game. Some very tired legs after a long, hard season. Poor performance considering some of a recent displays and shame to end the season with that display, but heads up and looking forward to next season. Congrats Hayle, deserved the win, but 3 good deliveries from sub dan magee changed it for you. best of luck next season. Ref was shocking, can't blame the defeat on him though as we were just as bad! Congrats to Illogan on such a succesful season, and also to Penryn for their impressive feat! See you all next season

Magowan30
Congratulations to Illogan for winning the treble. The best team always finishes top. I reckon we only dropped 6 bad points from the 10 draws we had, so for any team to drop fewer deserve the title. Well done also to all the players and management at Penryn for running Illogan close and being undefeated in 38 leauge games. Andy and Alan have done a great job in running the team throughout a very enjoyable season. We have had a good balance of some very talented young players and a few older more 'experienced' players who could put their foot in when needed, Shame it didn't quite lead to any silverware. Well done all and Roll on the World Cup!
timmullion1981
Mullion scorer was Jason Robertson from a penalty. Good first half of football. One all at the break and thought we might of got a point. We kept battling but after 3 of us played 90 mins on monday night and spent pretty much most of the game chasing shadows, we tired in the last 30 mins and thats when the goals came. Game had a bit of niggle in it with the dismissal of Phil Willey aswell but credit to our boys we kept going till the end. Notable mention to ben casley who made some tremendous challenges for us and kept us in it in the first half. Well done to Illogan for the treble and well done penryn for going unbeaten for the season. We will be up there with you next season boys!! Hahaha :clapper:

cornishteddyboy
Read this http://www.comboleaguearchive.atbhost.net/Table%202007-08.htm The season you are thinking of is the previous one when Truro's record was expunged when they did not play two fixtures at the end of the season.
