Saints Youth 0 - 1 St Stephens

I'd just like to take the opportunity of thanking St Stephens for providing Saints with opposition for our very first youth match. The game as everyone can guess was played in intense heat yesterday afternoon and although we lost; we played very well. St Stephens scored after just five minutes with a good goal. Saints took a while to organize themselves and eventually took control of the game. They just could not get the final ball in front of goal. It was very rewarding to see the youngsters in red form into a good unit and I believe good things will come from them in the future.

Thanks again all at St Stephens FC for making the trip.

I should add there were over thirty players at the game andall played a part. I think that's a great turn-out all things considered.

Also a word for ref' Martin Hicks who although under the weather stuck it out in the middle. A word too for Dave (Deejay) Jeffries as manager of Saints. Well done all.
