winston
playing surface was nice today but a shame that no food was put on for players and officials for both teams unless you wanted to pay for it!
Martin Eddy
good close game of football played by both teams.just a shame for holmans that the fourth goal went in right at the end of the game.well done to both teams for an entertaining game of football played in good spirit.Paul Gadson deserved his man of the match award :c:
Zee
3 goals from luke murray and not to be man of the match? Who made that decision

gerrard8
80? credit to paul gadston, kept himself fit enough to play at combo level in the same team as his son plus walk away with man of the match.well done m8 :clapper:
winston
It could have gone to alot of players who had a decent game for both teams including the guy who put holmans 2 up or falmouth central midfielder!
cornishteddyboy
Supplementary Cup Final 23rd May 2010 Falmouth Town Reserves (Luke Murray 3, Steve Winnan) 4-2 Holman SC (Rob Hosking 2) Att -
Guest todd.b
brilliant performance from luke murray, got a hat trick, 3 very good goals........but man of the match went to some old man, because he was old apparently??? SHOCKING
James S
I have to admit both Paul and Ben Gadson played well, Paul kept the Holmans midfield together. Dom Batchy had a good game kept running at the Falmouth defence. Unlukcy lads :drink:

Mike Odgers
Supplementary Cup Final 23rd May 2010 Falmouth Town Reserves (Luke Murray 3, ???) 4-2 Holman SC (???) Att - 80 Steve Winnan with a 'screamer' was the other Falmouth scorer and the No.9 for Holman SC scored two sharp goals in the opening minutes as Town were still at their Presentation evening. Holman SC competed every inch of the way and it was disappointing that a stoppage time 4th.goal gave the impression of comfortable victory. Thought the gate may have been higher but I was not in a good position for a head count Looks like its only me and you CTB who refer Holman S.C to its official title even the match programme had Holmans and didn't have a date for the game.. cornishteddyboy
Yep Mike. I try to be on the ball. Are Wendron still called Wendron CC United? Does anyone know if they have or ever will drop the CC part.

cornishteddyboy
Thanks for that Rob Makes you on 8 league and cup goals for Holman SC this season.
Mike Odgers
Two well taken goals in a flash (no messing) Mr.Hosking, were you involved in that last minute desperation in the Falmouth goal area looking for the equaliser? Also CTB I notice the SWPL always refer to St.Austell and not their (CCFA)title of A.F.C. St.Austell
Rob Hosking
Thanks mike, I was not involved in the scramble towards the end as I had been substituted with about 12 minutes left. I would like to think we played our part in a decent match (despite missing a number of key players) played in scorching weather.
BickyNutt
I used to play for holmans youth team for like 5 years, and it was always mentioned as Holmans. What does Holman S.C mean?
Silverdogfox
Holmans S C refers to the fact that the clubhouse and grounds were given to the employees of Holmans by the Holman family as a base for the Social Club
cornishteddyboy
They were given a grant of £24,000 by Camborne Town Council in roughly 1964 to help develop the site. Holman SC stands for Holman Sports Club
riggins74
Sorry Paul, I dont want to sound pedantic but in all the years I spent at Holmans SC, I believed the "SC" stands for Social Club rather than Sport Club, not that in anyway im a stato . Mike Odgers
The point I was making is that the club is affiliated as HOLMAN S.C. not HOLMAN'S' S.C. I would favour Sports Club as the S.C. abbreviation. But like everyone I refer to it as Holmans in conversation
Pitty
I would just like to say well done to Paul Murray and his Falmouth Town side on retaining the Supp cup. I was gutted i couldnt be there and when I heard we were 2-0 up thought our season was going to have a fairytale ending but alas it was not to be but I would like to thank all our players for their hard work in getting us into the position to challenge for something at the end of the season. Ray and I will be managing the side again next season and hope to see all the same squad of players back and maybe a few new ones but for now i´m back off to my sunny spain sun lounger....adios
