Promotion into the league

With none of the sides applying looking like qualifying by their league position who will come in and who will lose out. 3 vacancies 4 possible new teams.

Maybe two new teams in div 1 east. 2 teams moving to the west and just one Cornish club coming into the league?

Perhaps the league should hold an extraordinary general meeting and make an exception this year in allowing teams such as Illogan in to the league, or even Helston/St Day despite their finishing positions.

They had a meeting to make a decision last night i don't know if any decision was made??

can thesE clubs provide the facilities and resources to compete at a decent level in the SWPL? There may be a few problems trying to sort out clubs to fill the gaps left by the withdraw of clubs from the SWPL1

Certainly the three teams mentioned by myself would be able to. Cracking set up at all of them! And all decent footballing sides too.

Promotion & Relegation issues are governed by the FA and their rules are not flexible: they have agreed that a Team finishing in 3rd place could be promoted if they are "blocked" from going up by a Reserve Team in one of the two top positions - but this still doesn't help Sticker, St Day or Helston this season!

having just read the official statement on the swpl website it appears none of the approved sides from the feeder leagues will finish high enough in their respective leagues to gain entry so no new teams.R MARINES and ST AUSTELL promoted to premier division and with div west losing 3 sides ie promoted ST AUSTELL, and 2 sides that have left wendron and millbrook div 1 west to include relegated from prem holsworthy and moved from div1 east to west oakhampton argyle.
