Supplementary Cup semi-final result

Recommended Posts

Afraid thats wrong winston. Only 1st team regular playing Josh Sims, who over the past 6 weeks has played more mins for 2nds than 1st. We actually had players missing from the usual squad but anyway nice try with the wooden spoon.

You say "as usual" please state the other games this season where we had "a few" 1st team in?

Well done to Falmouth on their victory over us yesterday. Pretty much the same side we've beaten twice in the league this season :clapper: Penalties are always a horrible way to lose a football match but if you let it get that far then you have to accept it. It was an even game, not many memorable chances. Probably a poor match for the spectators. Perhaps a few first teamers should have been drafted in to liven it up a bit ;)

Good luck in the final.

very fair comments from COD, even and keenly fought game, as he said you dont want to lose on pens, thanks for your best wishes for the final, nice to socialise with the St Just lads after the game as well and good luck for the rest of the season! Also thanks for correcting Winston on his comments about us loading up with first teamers! now for my rant lol! get fed up with the usual quips from people like Winston saying about us loading up with first teamers! we have not really had any help all season in fact quite the reverse as we are a RESERVE team we usually help the firsts when required (as any reserve team should) and most weeks this season we have suffered makin 3 or 4 changes per game which doesnt make for consistancy and we have suffered rather than gained! even when our firsts havnt had a game we have been in the situation where only the manager Paul Murray and his assistant (myself) have been named as the only subs and being i am or was a goalkeeper i hate to think what would have happened if i had to come on outfield lol! we were in fact missing players yesterday for the semi final, Luke Murray, Sam Bromley and James Parkinson all unavailable so had to draft in young teenagers to make up the subs as well as myself, Paul Murray and Mike Newbury, with young 17 year old Lewis Johnston having to come on after the first 20 mins and get thrown in the deep end after losing Bobby Bryant to injury! Josh Simms has been regular for us recently as hasnt had much of a kick for the first team and like Mike Odgers has already said he needs to play! so to clear any confusion of all the "first teamers" in our team yeserday our line up was

1 Brian Scoffin

2 Darren Friend

3 Matt Roberts

4 Jamie Webb

5 Chris Pellow

6 Bobby Bryant

7 Luke Appleton

8 Steve Winnan

9 Josh Simms

10 Luke Wort

11 Steve Owen

Subs, Paul Murray, Mark James, Mike Newbury, Lewis Johnston, Aiden Moses

Rant over lol! once again good luck to St Just for the remainder of the season, i dont think many teams will be taking points off you!
