Guest Uncle Albert

Mark Berry's eighth minute goal was enough to give Bodmin their fifth successive win and close the gap on leaders Buckland to two points with six games to go.

Bodmin, and in particular Berry, should have had several more goals, but in the end they had to rely on their solid defence to earn a clean sheet against a Saltash side who poured forward in the last 20 minutes.

I thought Launceston moved the ball about well and played some very nice football.

Yep! When I saw Sir Cloake was in charge my heart dipped a little, but has you said ,he had an excellent game.

Again Buckland rued miss chances, especially Drewie otherwise we would have been looking at a much bigger score line.

Four to go !

A good win yesterday again from Falmouth considering they had 3 or four players out including the first team Goal Keeper,

both Falmouth & Bovey had a player sent off for fighting,

But Falmouth were in no mood to give this game away,

they were fast and awsome,

I just do not know how Bovey managed to draw with Bickland,

maybe the buckland team were asleep,

Bovey never realy looked like scoring,

Richard Kellow decided that he wanted to play cricket rather than Football so he has been kicked out of the team, :SM_carton: I liked Richard he was a good player, but surely he could have given Town just two more weeks,

but there you are thats Football, full of surprizes,

Hammers :c::yahoo::clapper: :c:

St.Austell 3 Plymstock 1

Great second half performance from St.Austell yesterday to keep the pressure on Perran. Great game played in good spirit from both teams. Fantastic referee performance, and great linesman performances. Not a bad decision from any official all game.

Godolphin 0 - 0 Dobwalls

Godolphin should have had this match dead and buried by half time but failed to finish any of a host of chances. Dobwalls came much more into the match after the break but neither team could brake the deadlock and had to settle for a point a-piece.

I must say i thought the referee A Howes did an excellent job, he looks to be a real top class referee.

Camelford 0 v 1 Newquay

A goal from Danny Carne after about 5 minutes settled this one. Carne turned inside his defender, cut in and finished at the near post. Rest of the half Newquay created more chances but didnt add to the scoreline. Second half and the game seemed to follow a similar pattern but Camelford started to force their way into the game and Newquay were indebted to Ryan Barnes who made several good saves including one where he turned a stinging shot onto the crossbar.

Overall I would say the result was about right.

Good to see that someone at St A has had a word with their lino so that he has changed to the extent that he can give a good performance.Heartening and well done to St A

i would like to place my thanks to swpl committee for allowing me to run the line for the st austell vs plymstock match. secondly thanks to leaner and david bray for their kind comments about the performance of myself and john on the st austell line. just goes to show that everyone who thinks this guy is cheat etc, are really here to stir up trouble. im glad you enjoyed the game both of you and i really want to thank the st austell players and plymstock for great attitudes throughout the game. the hospitality at their chosen clubhouse was excellent as was the drinks service. overall, st austell made it a great day for everyone and deserve to be promoted, great set of lads who really play well together. plymstock also have something to build on for next season. I really enjoyed it and look to be doing a referee course soon to get on the league.

Apparently his name is Patterson and he's currently at Devonport Dockyard working on Submarines.

Both Linesmen were excellent also.

Are we referring here to Ian "George" Pattison? Hearing good reports about him around the grounds :clapper:

I doubt it very much Dave, he was reffing at Perranporth on Saturday at the same time the St Austell game was being played....(or has he got a double...surely not :D )

Name in the programme was Pattison. Whoever he was he definitely was excellent, as were his assistants. That was the opinion expressed by lots in the crowd on Saturday. Top marks too to Micky Hunt and Plymstock for their attitude and the football Plymstock tried to play considering the average age of the team.
