SimonL
Yeah should be a good one - will be doing live updates for those that can't make it. But would advise going to Gala Parc for the match should be plenty of goals in it. http://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/sport/5039588.Junior_Cup_area_final_St_Buryan_v_Mawnan___live_updates/ both teams hit with injury problems prior to the match http://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/sport/falmouthcountysport/5036868.Mawnan_get_ready_for_Junior_Cup_area_final/ http://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/sport/falmouthcountysport/5036953.St_Buryan_hit_by_injury_crisis_ahead_Junior_Cup_area_final/

SimonL
sorry to anybody who tried to follow the game through live updates. Mobile internet didn't seem to want to work after 36 minutes. Didn't miss any of the goals though. Mawnan had chances to draw level in the second half best coming from a 3 on three situation with 10 minutes left when Shaun Rickard shot wide. St Buryan also had their chances on the counter-attack as well.
jcd
Well done to Buryan for putting the effort in tonight, quality football played despite several players carrying knocks or coming back from injury. Mawnan played well but for sure Buryan had the upper hand and rightly so got the result. Get in there you Blues!!!!! :drink:
SimonL
The second half went a bit like this: The second half saw Mawnan start brightly, with Kevin Morris hitting a shot from outside the area that Neil Stephens spilled. Damien Stevens almost got on the end of the rebound, but the keeper recovered. Gregg Renfree then tried an overhead kick, before Buryan's Gavin Edwards sent in a shot from inside the area that Adrian Noot got a hand to. The ball then trickled acros the six yard line and out of play with two Buryan attackers unable to make up the ground for a simple tap in. Substitute Shaun Rickard then blasted a good Mawnan chance wide as they broke in a three-on-three move. He hit the shot first time when taking a touch and playing in one of his strike partners might have been the better option. Damien Stevens was then inches away from connecting with a low cross to the corner of the six yard box. Had he got a touch it would have seriously tested the Buryan keeper. Edwards then had a great chance to put his side 3-1 up but fired straight at Adrian Noot from eight yards out, allowing the keeper to block the shot with his feet. In stoppage time Mawnan's Rob Eccleston headed over an Oli Miller cross. Thought Buryan were worthy winners although the match was very closely contested
riggins74
Congratulations to St Buryan unfortunately I didn't get to the game, but well done to Ian and Mark and the lads down west, a special day lies in front of you on Easter Monday, im sure you will enjoy it, lets hope you can bring the cup home. Unfortunate for Greg and his troops and im sure they are waking up feeling gutted, I have been thier and it's not a great feeling, but they do have the comfort of winning and making the finals on several occassions over the past few years. Looks like Looe and Lanreath will be tough opposition would should make a good competitive final. Well Done lads Reno
Gee
Congratulations St Buryan and great to see a Mining Side in the Junior Cup Final all the best lads. If you could now not concentrate on the league as much and rest a few players that would be great ha ha.
