Guest Skippy8
There are a few at Torpoint but one that sticks out is Ian Stephens. The former Western League player is rolling back the years at the tender age of 39 and a pleasure to play with. St. mawgan have a couple of grey heads that are still a handfull! Excuse not knowing names.

Bigdawg
Think its brilliant guys over 40 still playing in the duchy prem, as there are some very good teams in the league and the standard of football is still very good with some quality young players who could def play a higher standard. Nothing wrong with stepping down a couple of leagues to keep your playing days going. Would this thread include yourself Skippy, if so il put your name forward!!??? There was an old guy who played for St Teath last season or maybe the season before, quality player, everything went through him. didnt have the legs but on the ball was the best on the pitch. perhaps Kitbag can help us out there? kitbag
Hi bigdawg, player you mentioned is Duncan Armstrong, when we went through the legues from 93 to 99 duncs turned up in the village bought a cottage next to the pub,was a complete party animal and he could play football as well.He has been on the bench a couple of times for the first team this year but turns out for the reserves when he is not running marathons somewhere. He has won man of the match for the last 2 seasons playing for the vets in a couple of finals,he is still quality at the ripe old age of 45.Represented cornwall vets ,i have played with him this year in the vets, bloody hated it he plays a short game and kept giving me the ball, christ iam 52 for gods sake.
