Just got back from watching newquay vs mousehole newquay played some lovely football and won 8_1 and without striker paul robinson but it could of been a lot more if it wasnt for the mousehole goalie who had a fine game , i usually would of gone to plymouth but missed the bus so i watched a fine young newquay side . :c:

A good result for Town against a strong Tavistock who were on a 13 Away match unbeaten run (9 League 4 Cup)

Not one of 'Tavy's' favourite travels having only won three times in 43 visits to Falmouth since 1952.

Unbeaten this year Falmouth move into third position and leapfrog Tavistock but concede their first goal at Bickland since October 28th.(480 minutes of football)

Vospers dominated possession and looked comfortable throughout and that was even after there striker was sent off late in the first half. Played all the second half with 10 men in the same way as the first, dominating possession!!

Definately some teams left in the draw that Illogan should fancy themselves but will be underdogs on paper with nothing to lose going into whoever they play and the underdog is always dangerous. Would love it to see them reach the final.

I have to say that it is one of the bigger Senior Cup shocks over recent years! :)

Yes Mike A good result for Falmouth I thought that on the whole the referee did a good job, as right from the start Tavistock, were intent on playing a hard game by the very way some of their tackling whent in, which to say the least was at times over the top,

& might well under some referee's earned a red card, but at the end of the day, for sheer effort & team work Falmouth deserved the points,

I notice that my good friend !! Dan Blazey posted the results, But no mention of the defeat to Illogan RBL, in the Senior Cup Match,( Another so called record gone)

Are not the RBL generally old & retired Military men, ?

I will take a safe bet that had St Blazey won Dan would have been singing their praises all over this Forum,

So come on Dan tell us the True story behind your defeat, apart from the obvious that Illogan RBL were the better team, "Oh how the Mighty are fallen."

I have (which you may not believe) great respect for St Blazey & the suporters, Falmouth Town have always been well received when we have come to Blaze park,

But the onus certainly isn't on me; I'm not the one who makes stupid and unnecessary comments about Falmouth every time he makes a posting. I can't work out whether it's hatred or obsession, but he's got issues with St Blazey.
