Just got back from watching newquay vs mousehole newquay played some lovely football and won 8_1 and without striker paul robinson but it could of been a lot more if it wasnt for the mousehole goalie who had a fine game , i usually would of gone to plymouth but missed the bus so i watched a fine young newquay side . :c:

Falmouth Town 2 Tavistock 1

Falmouth goals from Nigel Thwaites and Tom Smith i think

att: 140/150 not official figure

A good result for Town against a strong Tavistock who were on a 13 Away match unbeaten run (9 League 4 Cup)

Not one of 'Tavy's' favourite travels having only won three times in 43 visits to Falmouth since 1952.

Unbeaten this year Falmouth move into third position and leapfrog Tavistock but concede their first goal at Bickland since October 28th.(480 minutes of football)

Scorers

1-0 Nigel Thwaites 50min 5th.of season (55 for Falmouth)

1-1 Mike Landricombe 72min

2-1 Tom Smith 73min.3rd.of season

Definately some teams left in the draw that Illogan should fancy themselves but will be underdogs on paper with nothing to lose going into whoever they play and the underdog is always dangerous. Would love it to see them reach the final.

Shame no SWPL application. Well done Illogan

Yes Mike A good result for Falmouth I thought that on the whole the referee did a good job, as right from the start Tavistock, were intent on playing a hard game by the very way some of their tackling whent in, which to say the least was at times over the top,

& might well under some referee's earned a red card, but at the end of the day, for sheer effort & team work Falmouth deserved the points,

I notice that my good friend !! Dan Blazey posted the results, But no mention of the defeat to Illogan RBL, in the Senior Cup Match,( Another so called record gone)

Are not the RBL generally old & retired Military men, ?

I will take a safe bet that had St Blazey won Dan would have been singing their praises all over this Forum,

So come on Dan tell us the True story behind your defeat, apart from the obvious that Illogan RBL were the better team, "Oh how the Mighty are fallen." :yahoo:

From your good friend Hammers :c::thumbsup: :clapper:

Dan, I am sensible to know that St Blazey will be back up there amongst the top teams,

I have (which you may not believe) great respect for St Blazey & the suporters, Falmouth Town have always been well received when we have come to Blaze park,

I am sure that we still will on our next visit.

Hammers :c::clapper: :c:

Dan, you are a top 'sport' and a truly greater supporter and you have shown us all how the two (sportsmanship and passion) can mix together.

No doubt you and 'Hammers' will meet up soon for friendly banter in the two SWPL games.

Ermm-Earlier in the season JCCL Falmouth Town Reserves 1 Illogan RBL 0

(Hammers is offline) lol

I've got no problem with that. If Hammers wants to come say hello next time we meet, he's more than welcome.

But the onus certainly isn't on me; I'm not the one who makes stupid and unnecessary comments about Falmouth every time he makes a posting. I can't work out whether it's hatred or obsession, but he's got issues with St Blazey.

OK, so he got me wound up!!

Not the greatest weekend in the history of St Blazey Football Club, but onwards and upwards I guess :angry:

Dan, thanks for your comments,I am sure that you have read my last remarks about St Blazey, I certainly do not have any issue with St Blazey I meant every word of my comments, after all it is only a game of Football & a few lively remarks from time to time do no harm Mine are never personal towards you & I am sure yours are not towards me, unlike some on this Forum who shall remain nameless.

I do not know if you are a young man or older but I have been around for 70 years & this forum is another way of keeping my mind active, I really enjoy this forum.

talk to any of my friends at Falmouth & they will tell; you that I am very easy to get on with, I have been a Falmouth suporter for 50 yrs.

& when you come to Falmouth I would be delighted to have a drink with you before the game

Hammers :c::clapper: :c:
