Chacewater 3-4 Praze

Take a bow Jacob Kemp!

we were 3-0 up and cruising at half time, 2nd half we didnt play anywhere near the same as the 1st, chacewater got back in the game and got back to 3-3 with 3 minutes left then with just 2 minutes left Kemp picked up the ball on the left about 35 yards out and smashed the ball in the top corner!!!

over all the years ive played ive never scored or even seen as good a goal as kempy scored today, especialy as it was a winning goal when our heads were down and chacewaters was up!

TAKE A BOW KEMPY! well done lad

I agree that Chacewater were outplayed by Praze in the first half and didn't test your keeper at all apart from the cross shot from about 40 yards that bounced off the crossbar. Two poachers goals in there from yourself.Young Kemp is a good player and was the best player on the park in the first half.

Chacewater made a couple of changes at half time and a two goals from Justin Bennetts and one from Ian Jenkins made it interesting going into the final minutes.

Didn't see Jacob's goal but was told that it was very special.

Good luck to Praze in the next round of the Cup and for the rest of the season.

Arthur Pearce Cup

Trevenson Utd. 6 .v. Gwinear 3

Delighted to be in the next round and even happier to build on last weeks win. We were out of the blocks quickly and took a 1 goal lead within 5 minutes, Shaun Isaacs won the ball well and Carl 'Stretch' Stretton played a peach of a pass for Nathan Hughes to finish on his debut. We were glad of this early lead as the following 20 - 25 minutes was all Gwinear but we managed to restrict them scoring through a mixture of them missing, scrambled clearances and 'keeper Leigh Isaacs doing what he does best. Unfortunately, Gwinear's goal came from Leigh, I played the ball back to him after his shout, but the pitch made the ball bobble as Leigh went to clear it and the ball landed at James Paradise' feet who hit a first time shot into the net. We regained our lead before half time when Darren Copeland went up for a corner, got something on the cross, but finished into the top corner with his right peg when the ball fell to him.

The second half was fairly end to end football, Gwinear always looked threatening on the attack, but we managed to cause problems with some good wing play from Andrew 'Mushy' Symons and Nathan Hughes. I can't remember exactly how the scoring went but Nathan hit a second from close range as did Stretch and Mushy buried a penalty after Tim Kitchen's clever flick won us the spot kick. Gwinear's young striker hit a great volley after chasing down a missed header and, after a Gwinear attack broke down, Stretch hit his brace - lobbing the 'keeper. Gwinear scored their 3rd from the spot after a hotly disputed decision but we had a chance to increase our winning margin when Stretch ( looking for a hat-trick ) hit a free kick against the bar. A tough call on our man of the match today, but stand in 1st team manager Rod Bowman opted for Luke Hart who was solid at right back.

Mining League Div. 3

Marazion Blues 4 .v. Trevenson Utd. Res. 4

3 - 1 down at half time but we managed to pull it back and take a 4 - 3 lead! Marazion scored though to ensure a draw. A feisty game by all accounts with big challenges going in all over the park.

Trevenson goal scorers:

Mike Barratt ( 2 )

Howard Seller

Dan Bowman

As always Damo very honest and accurate report , a lot of good performances by your boys today thought Stretch had a good game up the top and your number 6 played well , good goalkeeper too .Think it was your willingness to throw everything in front of the ball and defend in numbers that was the difference today , good luck in the next round mate. :drink:

Wendron 3 Mariners 2

First half, Mariners contolled the play and were a bit unlucky to be only a goal up at half time.

10 minutes into the second half, mariners increased their lead with a penalty, and seemed to be cruising through to the next round of the cup.

A little against the run of play, Wendron broke and pulled one back through a keeper error. Immediately the whole character of the game changed.

Wendron took control and looked much the better side. It appeared that they'd scored with a fine haeder to equalise but neither the ref nor the linesman could see that the ball had crossed the line and so no goal was given.

Even leading 2-1 , mariners looked stretched at the back and allowed a Wendron attacker to break free and beat the keeper through his legs, having left the defence behind.

5 minutes to go, Wendron got the winner with a fine shot from the edge of the box.

Well done Wendron. Mariners snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Sennen 5 Gulval 2

Ref John Read, toss a coin for every decision.

Well done Norman for getting his lads up for it after last weeks display and the very best of luck in the cup.

The game itself, Coopsie came in and did 90 minutes after spending the last 4 months shopping ( our striker had puncture. The Knack aka Dan French did 75 mins at left back and played well.

Big plus thats another 15 mins for me, 43 overweight and past it!

mousehole 0 titans 4

on a very difficult playing surface both sides tried to play football.once we scored we never looked in trouble but the longer it stayed 1-0 you had that sneaky feeling that mousehole might score a goal.in the end we had just to much in our locker to run out winners.thanks for the hospitallity and good luck for the rest of the season :clapper::c::drink: :drink:

Threemilestone Res 1 - 8 Camborne School of Mines

Having convincingly won the reverse fixture last week CSM were dominant throughout the match both in possession and territory. With Threemilestone resorting to try and kick CSM off the park CSM kept working away playing football the right way. If it were not for CSMs poor finishing the game could have been a cricket score.

Goalscorers G. Embley, C. MacDougall, R.Evans, C.Wright, J. Williams and a hat-trick for J. Batchelor

Goonhavern 2 - 3 Illogan

(Gareth Pitt, Ryan Treloar and Adam Callaway)

Goonhavern started well and were the better side for 1st 10 but after that we took complete control and played them off the park going in 2-0 up. Second half started the same as the 1st finished and we managed to get another, had numerous more chances throughout but couldn't finish them.

With 20 to go goonhavern got 1 back and then with 10 to go got another and we went from very comfortable to backs against wall stuff with goonhavern finishing the game strong.

Always polite PP that pitch wasnt fit to put cows on let alone play football, horrible place to go and a ref that saw nothing, and that was both teams. Left that place winning 4-0 and feeling like shit, happy days. Credit where credits due lads played as much of a passing game as they could, problem was everytime we lost the ball my neck hurt from looking up in the sky :angry2:

Storm 5 Newlyn 3

1-2 up at half time, and could of had more. Bit of a bollocking from the manager at half time as we weren't using the ball well, should have fired us up - ended up losing 5-3. Did absolutely nothing in the second half no commitment, no strength, no composure on the ball, no desire to win.... Same as the last few months, losing games we could have won.

Having said that though Storm deserved their win, came at us in the second half, used the ball and pitch well and wanted it a lot more than us. Again a shame our well below par performance cost us points from a game we could of won, if we decided to play... at all! Struggling this season... Hopefully we can avenge the defeat in the Dunn Cup next week....

Mining 3

St Buryan 2 - Rosudgeon 2

Could of gone either way, so a fair result for both teams.

After our poor showing in our previous game we knew we had to put in a lot more effort against these lads. Maybe a bit to defensive on the day but then Rosudgeon are very strong in the attack. Jack Ninnis scoring our first with a great attacking run down the left and a blinding top corner finish  Great work rate from both teams made it hard to get time on the ball on our squidgy pitch  Rosudgeon pulled one back after some slack marking, we got amongst them and could of gone ahead if we had played the easy ball instead of the blaster! A good finish from Rosudgeon for their second, but then he had so much time to pick his finish. We took it on the chin and got on with it, few minutes later Tucker was clean through one on one and stuck it in the bag :clapper:

Chances went begging at both ends for the winner. So both teams happy to walk away with a point i'd say. Good footballing side Rosudgeon, not sure about the gloves that were worn though?? Well Reffed aswell.

How about our first team hey, what with some people righting them off. So well done to them!!

I agree on your report mate fully!! we had key players missing again and it took us to the second half to come to terms with it and a bollicking from our manager too!! lol. Second half we where the dominant force and you where left with counter attacking and trying to break a solid defence down second half some great goals scored by storm and as said you deserved to be 2 -1 up at half time but they where fortunate goals for you keeper dropping first and an own goal for second.

Well done to the lads at storm for coming out second half with a committed performance and that extra 80% andy asked for!! Also well done to NEWLYN good bunch of lads and we will see you next week.

St Buryan 2 Rosudgeon Res 2

Att:Sell-Out.

JCD's report is spot-on a draw was the fair result :c:

After a poor 1st half performance from us we came in 1.0 down with little complaint.Second half we changed the formation and stepped up a gear or 2 and got a back into the game with a fine longrange effort from Jason'Cesc' Angwin who bossed the game in the middle for us,And spurred the rest of the lads to raise to his commitment. We were flying at this stage and the chances kept coming,But Buryan are a very dogged side and had there chances too.The second was a good finish for Zac with his 1st for the club :clapper:

Buryan made a change and we switched off and there striker broke free and put it away with a good finish.

The pitch was shocking to be honest but it did make for a good game and a great battle.

We hit the woodwork a couple of times but overall i feel the draw was the right result.

All the best to St Buryan for the remainder of the season,Good bunch of lads and great fighting spirit.

Man Of The Match: Simon Taylor,Won everything in the air and was awesome all day at the back.

'Cesc' was a close second.

Donkey: Jozzer Aka 'The Bearded Assasin',Just was'nt his day today but he'll be back...............

Can't really argue with the outcome. Both sides could have scored more to be fair. Illogan stretched our back 3 throughout the game and always looked dangerous going forward. Glad that we managed to pull 2 goals back to keep the final 10 minutes interesting, just annoying that we never start playing until we're a couple down. Played in good spirits. Reffed really well. Hopefully we'll get the chance to put one over you in the Dunn Cup

Strange how you can just tell someone is a nob without ever meeting them

Could not agree more with you on that one! Although next time your memory of the game might be better if you weren't drinking throughout.
