More sad news for those of us a bit older

Recommended Posts

Apologies if I've missed a posting placed already, but I was informed on Friday that Joe passed away on the 21st January after a long illness.

He will be connected with Marazion and the CCFA forever as he was another man who a football club could not do without.

Condolences go out to his family and everyone at Marazion AFC.

I am sad to hear of Joe's passing and my best wishes go to his wife and family.

I first new Joe when I was playing for Illogan and Joe was heavily involved with Marazion. Always up for a bit of banter and a pleasure to know.

For some years our paths continued to cross in both football matters and business - but had not seen Joe in the last twenty years .

Late last year my father took a tumble and spent a little time in West Cornwall hospital - as I walked in to visit I was greeted with - "who let you in down here Webber" Joe who was quite poorly at that time still kept in touch with local sport and seemed to be "in the know"

RIP Joe
