Guest WendronSun
Hi Guys, This is a chance to get your football teams name in the Guinness Book of World Records!!! I am the manager of Wendrons Sunday side and need your help.. I'm running the New York Marathon on the 1st of November with 3 other people. For those that don't know me, I'm built for comfort and not for speed. Anyhow, how can you help, the Kernow4, are hoping to set a new world record on the 27th of August at Redruth Rugby Club, for the "worlds LARGEST gathering of men in just their pants". Please spread the word and come along for a beer and the chance to legally take your kit off in a public place... More info below - If you need to know more or fancy coming along, please email me on retanna.house@btinternet.com Thanks Jamie WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT * WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT * WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT REDRUTH RUGBY CLUB, THURSDAY 27th AUGUST, 7pm Thank you for helping us try and break the world record, here is some extra information regarding the night; • START 7pm (WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT 7.30pm) • THE BAR WILL BE OPEN (teas, coffees and food also available) • YOU HAVE TO WEAR Y-FRONTS (and pay £1 minimum donation to Macmillan) • CHANGING FACILITIES ALSO AVAILABLE • GRAND STAND SEATS AVAILABLE FOR ON-LOOKERS (£2) • 80’s DISCO NIGHT – START AT 8.30 – TICKETS £5 After realising that they were never going to break a world record in the New York Marathon, four Cornish runners, Jamie Reed, Tania Stait, Andy Holmes and Steve Burley, the Kernow4, are aiming for a world record of a different kind... “The world’s largest gathering of men in just their pants”. The team are taking part in the ING New York City Marathon on the 1st of November, but wanted to put Macmillan Cancer Support in the Guinness Book of World Records, on the way. Organiser Tania Stait says “this is one of the most unusual Guinness World Records, but it will be great to see so many men stripping off for such a good cause and of course helping with our fundraising”. Part of the teams fundraising goes toward local skin Cancer nurse, Jo Pope and she’ll be in attendance on the evening if any participants have queries or need advice on skin conditions or protection from the sun.
