A One And A Six
Good result for the Spuds but i wouldnt write Liverpool off just yet! Either way looks like its gonna be an exciting Premier League season!
midfield
Scousers should have had 2 penalties in the last few minutes. Who cares anyway?
Mangle
Listening to the build up to this game on the radio, it was annoying me to hear the pundits say that Liverpool were preparing their bid for the Championship title. No mention of Spurs preparing their bid. When someone did mention Spurs, it was on the basis that they could make a strong challenge this year to get into Europe. What rubbish. Well done Spurs, London 2, Scousers NIL!!!!
ravo
Could see this coming, i am liverpool threw and threw, the club has not invested in certain posistions were we needed it and it showed to day, we could of been 3-0 down first half, dont get to excited Spurs, you playd a liverpool side were only a few turnd up today, get Gerrard back in the middle and buy a top notch striker Rafs. 3rd if lucky. NEED TO BUY
Guest
Liverpool will regret selling Alonso. They now only have Torres and Gerrard. The game was a bit one sided. Spurs should have won by a bucketful.
isaac rosenberg
Thanks to the Tottingham basement boys for doing Arsenal and Chelsea a favour by inconveniencing one of our title rivals: that's just what Spurs are there for. You're making up the numbers splendidly, Harry, well done ! :clapper:

somersetspur
Got it in one my fellow YIDDO. Unlike the armchair gooners on here,we follow our team. Love it when they come on here and say they dont give a shit about us. Just reading this proves just the oppisite. Spurs deserved the victory, and if it wasnt for the woeful finishing of the arm waving Irish pikey,we would have won comfortly. Bassong is a snip at 8 million,Modric is turning in some quality performances, add to that Wilson Palacios who was immense,Ledley superb at the back, with Defoe running his socks off,and Benny boy cracking in a great goal,we hear nothing but how poor Liverpool were and 2 penalties, typical top 4 reaction, blame everything apart from the team. We now have a great spine to the side, with Jenas and Woodgate plus Dawson all to return, things are shapeing up nicely. So dont beleive the gooners,we are goin to do O.K. :yahoo:

You're making up the numbers splendidly, Harry, well done ! Great result for Spurs,I thought they looked a really good side today, They did do Arsenal and Chelsea a favour your right there,And your gonna need them to take United's title. One game gone the Scousers are whinging already,Its the usual summer of 'Its our year'. One game down 'Should've had two penalties' 'Should never have sold Alonso'.........Blah Blah Blah 19years,19years,19years........... :yahoo:

Love it when they come on here and say they dont give a shit about us. etc etc etc Did you not read my post then? I thought the "pundits" were all wrong in their pre-match assessment of "what Liverpool are going to do" and ignoring the Spurs ambitions almost completely. This season will hopefully shape up to be very close. You guys are going to be up there.
somersetspur
Yes I did read your post, but no disrespect to you,I take what you gooners say with a pinch of salt, because I dont know if you are being honest or taking the micheal. If you are being honest, then thank you,I believe we will have a better season than last year, progress is being made, and a decent squad being assembled. Top 6,would be progress, anything more will be a bonus. The Premiership will be a lot closer and you goons will surely be in the mix.

Mangle
Its a great pity that either Arsenal or Celtic will leave the Champions League, but i cant see Arsenal beating the Hoops, never mind, all the Gooners can at least watch their team on ITV 4 for free! Remember writing that a few days ago, Mr. Buck???? Care to re-evaluate your statement???? UP THE GUNNERS
