John Terry

Recommended Posts

Seems like the lunatics are running the asylum! This is straight from Sky Sports...

Chelsea captain John Terry has dismissed suggestions that he influences the players targeted by the club. Terry's own future has been uncertain this summer following public interest from cash-rich Manchester City. But the England skipper recently stressed his commitment to the Blues ahead of the 2009/10 season. However, it has since been claimed that Terry, who has made over 300 appearances for Chelsea, plays a part in determining who the club could buy this summer. Chelsea have reportedly seen a bid for midfielder Andrea Pirlo turned down by AC Milan, leading to reports that Terry suggested the club pursue the Italian. However, Terry told the Daily Mirror: "I want to clear something up. I'm a player and it's the manager and board who make those decisions. "The only thing I spoke about with the club was it was important people like Didier (Drogba) and Ashley Cole, whose contracts are up now, stay with us. It was important to me that we build around the current squad and it was right for them to stay. "Now people are saying I'm asking for Andrea Pirlo to be signed and I'm asking for this player or that player to be signed. I promise you I never get involved in any players brought in or going. "What I know 100 per cent is I'm a player and I want to concentrate on that and leave it to the manager and board to make the signings."

No smoke without fire, I think!

Maybe...maybe not Midfield. But one things for sure, we aint selling all our best key players like yourselves!!!!

Because unlike yours, our players sense that success is near!!!

Go on, im waiting to hear you tell me about how much money Wenger has made the Club on signings!!!! Spare me coz im sure you would swap the money for a trophy or 2!!!

2 points:

1. Adebayor and Toure weren't our "best players" (if that's who you mean) by a country mile;

2. "...sense that success is near!!!":lol::lol: I'm glad I'm sitting down or I would have fallen down laughing!:lol::lol: You're SO funny! You won't win a toffee apple this season!

Midfield all you ever seem to do is look for dirt on other clubs you are a moron, try looking at your own club for a minute before having little sly digs at others, All this tripe you are writing at the moment will blow up in your face when, at the end of the season you will be languishing around 6th. And clubs like Chelsea and United have more than likely picked up a trophie each!!!!!!!!!

Well, I'll add my twopennath. If you were worth approx $6bn would let let JT run the club? He's a player. I think one day he would like to manage the club. But what you want and what you get aint always the same.

RA saved the club (as did Ken Bates in the mid 80s). We are very grateful for his intervention. I wasn't sure I would see another title in my lifetime but RA & JM delivered.

Up the blues!!!!

A point of interest here.

When we are "linked" with players, AW speaks for our club. Same happens at Man U and Liverpool with their respective managers. Who speaks for Chelsea? It always seems to be something like "A statement from Chelsea..."

Perhaps the Blunoses could enlighten us.

The problem with that is that CFC never really know who the manager will be if and when the player is signed lol.

But on a serious note it is generally someone close to the man who holds the purse strings. Kenyon (CEO?), Buck(CFO?) spring to mind. CFC rarely comment on any transfer speculation for players coming in. A statement is never issued until the player is signed.

As for the rest of it, STOP READING TRASHY NEWSPAPERS!

Trashy newspapers????

Don't you just love it when 'The Current Bun' headline a great story,Then ruin it with there favourite line,And i quote 'A CLOSE SOURCE SAID.....'

As for John Terry he's been taking this Mr Chelsea thing,To far for a while now

I still believe he'll be at City in the January window...

Simple!!!

If (and that's a big if) they had a 35m bid turned down,It'll probably be about 28m.

City will be riding the wave and living the dream at xmas, around the top 3,Chelsea will also be around the top 6.

However City will fade with or without Terry,And finish about 6th.However Chelsea will finish in the top 2 with or without Terry.

This is only my opinion,But if you want this saturday's Lottery number's.Watch this space..............

  • 4 weeks later...

Job done as far as JT is concerned, got to say he played it well. Club comes in with big bid, he spends weeks saying nothing even though he is "Mr Chelsea", Roman gets a bit worried and the man gets a big fat new contract even though there is still 2 yrs left on his existing agreement. He gets a massive pay rise to extreme proportions and doesnt lose face by leaving. As a childhood United fan he just couldnt handle playing for City. And Chelsea fans still love this bloke! Lets hope he gives some more cash to his mother!!
