Jenksy007
Coming Tuesday Evening, 9th June @ St. Mewan Park The launch of the new franchise in the Charlestown Football Club brand, The Charlestown Saints, comes closer and closer, and on the 9th of June we invite any players who have an interest in signing for the Saints upto the clubs new purpose built facilities, for an informal get together to view the facility and to casually kick the ball around. The Charlestown Saints are the new mens side for Charlestown YFC, who boast over 400 footballers under the ages of 16. This consists of 8% of ALL sport in St. Austell. This is a fantastic opportunity for any player who wishes to stand proud, as a member of the Saints, next season. The Saints, although being a start up club, have already secured some big names in Cornish Football and have sourced incredible sponsorship from local companies which puts us in a position to be able to offer an image more fitting to Senior football......come and see for yourself.... If anyone is interested, please either PM me, or reply below, Many thanks Ian www.charlestownsaints.co.uk

Guest Burnley
Is the teams pitch actually in Charlestown? I did some work there a year or two ago but i didn't see a pitch, if not then where is it?
Jenksy007
Burnley, the pitch is 5 or so minutes away in Nansphyssick, near Sticker/Polgooth. Or should i say pitches, theres more than one full size pitch and various training pitches and junior pitches. All in all, it will be a cracking venue, at any level. gas on tour
Hi Jenksy, have you entered the Duchy League? Good luck with it all.
Jenksy007
gas on tour, thanks for the kind words. We have applied to the Duchy League, yes. We should be fine though, as we are paving a way for the ultra talented under 16s team to enter mens footy, we have 8% of sport in the town under the Charlestown umbrella, and have sourced nearly £10,000 worth of sponsorship, yet to be secured though, i might add. This set up will be as close to semi-pro as it gets, without the pay packet.

Jenksy007
Evening all, After a very successful first meeting for prospective Saints, of about 20 players, we are pleased to announce that training has been brought forward to NEXT TUESDAY - 16th June. Training will be at 7pm on Tuesdays at St.Mewan Park. This evening, prospective players were shown the various pitches at the ground and also the fantastic new club house facilities, with all being very impressed. To wet your appetite, former St. Austell 1st and 2nd team players were in attendance, former Roche & Foxhole striker Nick Mills, and future club stalwards Paul Stockley and Andy Kerrigan. Also Ian Hipwell and Wayne Ferguson are expected to sign with the Saints on club approval to the Duchy League. Youngsters such as Matt Danneau and Anton Lake were also in attendance. Club Management Ian Jenkin, Dave Jago, Nigel Tonkin and David Haley were very pleased with the evening and look forward to welcoming any interested players to training with us on Tuesday nights....
