skippyphillips
I'm really sad, its a sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad day for football when a club the size of newcastle with the fan base of newcastle gets relegated, i really feel sorry for the supporters how they all stand there with their tops off showing real passion for the club and this is how they are rewarded what have they done to deserve this??? all they want is a manager and chairmen that share the same passion as them and i find it really sad that some people on here are enjoying this tragic day in the premier league!!! Yeah right enjoy the championship you deluded geordies!!!

A One And A Six
Cant see them being another Leeds, dont think they have anything like the finacial problems Leeds suffered when they went down. I actually believe this relegation will be the kick up the a##e and reality check that the club, board and fans need and they will come back into the Premiership stronger then ever. They need to get rid of the (rather well-paid) dead wood and reshape the club, im sure they'l be back in buisness, ie, playing in the Premiership, maybe even Europe within 5 years. Hope so anyway, quite like Newcastle and they've definately made the Premiership a little more interesting over the last 15 or so years!

CoachKT
Feel sorry for Steven Taylor, Stephen Harper, Nicky Butt and Andy Carroll cause they looked and played like they cared....I don't think the rest give a toss...big fat wages and release clauses in their over inflated contracts. Michael Owen hasn't played like he cared for months and I think we saw him slip insipidly into retirement this afternoon. He was complete waste of space today. Alan Shearer proved he wasn't the messiah and I don't think he acually has a clue what it takes to manage at Premiership level...yet more proof that great players don't always make good managers, especially when they haven't got their coaching badges. They showed the Newcastle bench with about five minutes to play and I'm sure Guttierez was asleep!!! Anyone else notice that???

Football person
1. Shows you what happens when you dont get the behind the scenes stuff sorted. 2. Newcastle fans are the only ones who believe/say there a big club. 3. Owen has tread water this year, he'll get a move, then put all efforts into gaining a world cup place. Disgrace/mercenery. As he's a free transfer, reckon his move to another club is already finalised, hence why chilling this season. 4. Sometimes you have to take a step backwards, to move forwards,i.e England 'If Newcastle were playing in my garden, i'd close the curtains'
Coopsie
I'm glad "nocastle" really are nocastle now.Their insistence on hiring messiahs because they thought mere mortals were below them was pathetic. I mean, Keegan, a proven quitter, rattle thrower , and loser ... Followed by a pundit with no managerial experience !... Best, most passionate fans in the world.blahblahblah .. nonsense .. Most deluded, stupid fans, perhaps !?.. I feel for their child supporters who have their dads fill them full of this stuff, and who are now crying with the reality of their plight... but the rest? I am gleeful! Really !...
hammers
Well I am delighted that the Hammers had a better than expected season, Well done to the Spurs you did finish above the Hammers all be it on Goal difference, also bearing in mind you were not given much of a chance of doing well at the begining of the season. Still Two LONDON Clubs still up with the big boys Hopefully we can only get better, Hammers :c:

Guest Man on the Post
What about Shearer? Stay or go Cornishatheart? I really don't understand why the Newcastle fans want Shearer as manager, they must be stupid! He has no experience and does not have his coaching badges! Newcastle and Middlesbrough relegated and both managers do not have their coaching badges!

Coopsie
Best bit of news i've heard in ages As well as Spurs missing out on Europe! (Sorry, Coopsie, couldn't resist!) Could be a blessing in disguise mate?. Also, lets face it, if I'd have told you after those first 8 awful games that Spurs would finish in 8th, you would have pi**ed yourself laughing. Ok we've won nothing but I can still seriously consider this season a success, purely because I look at Newcastle and see that at one stage they were quite a way above us. Their predicament could so easily have been ours.

Whistleblower
They deserved to go down,mis-managed from top to bottom.Bringing in Joe Kinnear and Wise to save a club from relegation!Doh!Red-adair wouldn't have saved them. Too many average players on top wages, and others who couldn't be bothered, supposedly injured. Amazing how many recovered when Shearer showed up. I think Shearer should stay though,as long as he's given full control on team matters,i'm sure he's done his coaching badges.
