Mr Cornwall
i agree the way penryns pitch has been looked after this season and he has left then there will be no one better to replace him although i wish everyone at penryn the best for next season. Guest Peppermint
Dave Baker has done a superb job over the last number of years and produced a playing surface that is a credit to him and Penryn Athletic. He will be a difficult act to follow but I am sure everyone wishes him well. Millbrookmike - you do really need to get some sleep - what was 2.42 am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try counting sheep!!!!! Guest Postie Pidge
I believe Dave is helping/advising Falmouth's groundsman but with him being one of two people working on the Kernick pitch I can't see him ever giving it up completely

Mark Jones
Dave Baker has been very successful at Penryn. He has produced a surface that most groundsmen could only dream off! That is down to a combination of his knowledge and hard work. I think Dave is retiring as he has been training up a new lad. I still think Dave will still be helping out. I dont think Dave would just walk away from Penryn as it is in his blood. I just want to clear up any confusion. Dave has given me some good advice for getting the Bickland Park surface up to standard. I have a general horticultural background, but i am doing my sportsturf qualifications, whilst looking after me little girl for now! Therefore to gain specialist sportsturf advice from Dave has helped. He has always been kind enough to answer any questions that i may have. I am very grateful to Dave for this. My first aim will be to get the basics right at Bickland like weed control, aeration, good grass coverage. Then the long term to see how far i can take the pitch. This does not happern over night and will take alot of hard work. But we can only work within the budget we have for the pitch. I am sure i will make some mistakes alone the way aswell, but this is all part of the learning curve. I think Wendron have a good pitch surface, and i hear Sticker do? Am i right , Keep up the good work mate people do appreciate :c:

MOUNTAINEER
Mark best of luck with your groundsmanship qualifications, it says a lot that you listen to people like Dave Baker, in time people will surely be on these threads mentioning how good YOUR playing surface is as a result of your hard work.

Guest local_football_supporter
when did you play for callington. 2 clubs got fed up with you last season, what makes you think millbrook wont??? i mean your pattern of behaviour has not changed on here. i predict millbrook will out you by xmas , if the manger showed anything last season its that he dont like to be messed around ,ask the former u18 team that was there. all the same, good luck to you saltash/cally/millbrookmike
Mr Cornwall
i wasnt with saltash last season, i was with callington i joined saltash december 2007 - april 2008. i left because i was being honest on the line. with callington i played in the cup game against mousehole december time. yeah local every club is gonna have someone who is going to bitch, but as you categorically have stated that mr bunney does take no shit from anyone at the club. and i think my behaviour on here ill have you has improved greatly but end of the day its where my view is aired and read whoever wishes to comment. joejellico
woah woah woah.....how can you lot talk about good pitches and not mention one of the best pitches..if not the best pitch down her...HAYLE!! Greg has kept our pitch looking amazing all year for the past few seasons. Even the pitch across the road woule be a worthy senior league pitch, pitches in the combo and the SWPL are bad..Greg deserves a lot more acknowledgement for his hard work at the club!!! Thank You Greg!!!
