Hmmm is this the same MattP who slated Tintagel for cancelling earlier in the season.

On behalf of Tintagel AFC, it is with great disappointment that our season has come to an end. We have had to forfeit 3 matches due to lack of players and as per the correct league rules we are eliminated from the league with immediate effect. It has been a struggle all season and we have battled so hard to get this far and we can only thank the players who have made themselves available. Over the past few weeks we have had numerous players unavailable due to illness, work, injured or other and we have been down to a handful of a squad. We hope that we can recover in the future and get our team back playing again and we can only apologise to all our fellow clubs for not making it to the end of the season. Sorry if this is a bit long winded, doesn't make sense or I've missed anything but I thought I had better put something to keep Dave happy!

As previously mentioned, would friendlies be permitted under the restrictions on/after 29th March? How can teams train prior to the 29th, not allowed to mix until then and that's only 6? This is all asking for problems all round. Start again a new season in August when we can all hopefully return to play/watch or officiate knowing we have all done our bit to prepare. 'Fail to prepare-prepare to fail'

The olderthelegs and Cornish legend have the most sensible and something this country lacks - common sense -approach to this situation. Yes we all want football to be played but surely to wait a few months (as the virus is still very much around us-i know of 3 people testing positive this week) and hopefully have a clear and fresh start. I would think the 123 thousand people would agree this if they had the option.

With the current COVID Tier structure being raised to Tier 3 we are going to postpone the Duchy League until further notice with immediate effect. We will review the position again in the upcoming 3 weeks and see where we go from there. Wishing you all a healthy new year and hope you and your families all stay safe and well. Game switched to Tintagel, pitch in excellent condition,just very blustery. Biscovey gave a good account of themselves going in at half time 2-2,but Tintagel used wind advantage in the second half to run out winners 6-2.
