We certainly feel that the action taken was in good faith and for the safety of all concerned not just those of us who love sport.
There is no way that anyone can forecast the end date of this virus, especially if the idiots who choose to ignore professional advice continue with their "it won't happen to me " attitude, and treat the advice with cotempt.
With no guaranteed end date, the F.A. had little option but to expunge this seasons results and start from scratch next season,
Imagine the outcry if the F.A. said the season will restart in whatever guise on a date in August and the pandemic is still with us, what then?  finish this season whenever possible and cancel next?
No we wouldn't be over the moon if our team was top of the league and missed out on promotion, but we would accept it with good grace and concentrate on helping those in the community with real problems.
If football is not ressurected in the near future, has anyone got a chrystal ball that can identify the date for the distant future ?

    Dave,
Its down to when this virus is beaten and the go-ahead is given to resume playing. If that date was June or July then i would suggest scrapping the remaining league games this season and maybe working out a fair way of who gains promotion etc. There's no reason why the cup matches can't be completed as they are one off games and all at semi final stage. I don't think scrapping next season is an option at all as everyone will be really looking forward to a new season after this horrible virus is quenched.

I ventured down to Falmouth to watch this last night.  And from where i was sat, i must say it looked like a Pen.  But think there was a clear split on that with some disagreeing (the beauty of not having VAR)
Personally thought the VERY young looking referee looked like a rabbit in headlights for most of the game, and could have easier issued more cards in this meaty encounter.  No.2 for Falmouth could have seen Red on another day for his challenge, and almost got away with nothing, as the referee "lost" him until the lino helped him out.

I was sat next to some pretty knowledgeable football people and we all agreed that the first penalty decision had to be either a corner or a penalty. Essentially if the defender got a touch it was a corner and if he didn’t then it had to be a penalty. The only decision he couldn’t make was a goal kick...which of course he gave!

Presume the 12th man you refer to was the young ref, failed to get a grip in the 1st half with some strong tackles going unpunished. Thought Johnson totally lost his head twice in the 1st half, amazed that the ref didn't at least yellow card him. Penalty looked soft from where I was standing, looked like a dive, certainly wasn't hacked down as I read on Twitter last night. Overall a good game. Might even  take in th SF if it's at St Austell.

Good game to watch. We gave it a right go. Good cup tie. One big decision changed the game and unfortunately not in our favour. Our players gave everything. You can't ask no more.

It might have looked a clear cut penalty by Blazey GK from the F Troop end of the ground but from inside the Blazey half it looked a clear cut dive GK never touched him. Falmouth penalty looked a soft one to me but was not surprised the referee gave it and from then on their only looked one winner.

The best team won yesterday. Saltash's defence coped with everything we chucked at them, we just couldn't find a way through. A little disappointed we were without Jono & Buchs. Their pace and tenacity up front would have been really helpful. Whether it would have affected the result, probably not, but it would have given us more presence in attack.
Cracking attendance of 425 and the F-Troop sang all the game (25 different songs..not 4 as I read on a previous comment) Chant of the day " We'll sing it till May, We'll sing it till
May...Champions of Cornwall, We'll sing it till May" . (I think the CSC final is actually in April but April didn't rhyme lol)
We showed our love and respect to our mate Malcom "Peewee" Mclean" who passed last week. Peewee will be really missed as will John "Turks" Martin. God bless them both.
For us now, we are still in the Walter C Parsons cup and the Charity cup, plus we want to finish as high as we can in the league so we have plenty to play for this season.
Its always disappointing losing a big game,  but sometimes you have got to applaud the opposition and we clapped the Saltash Utd players off at the end because they played really well.
Bickland Park is a tough place to come these days and Saltash came and did the business.
Good luck to them in the next round.

Tomorrow we welcome Saltash Utd to Bickland Park. A top team packed with lots of quality throughout. But we are ready and waiting for this challenge. 2 cracking cup finals last season between us were split evenly, they were great days for both clubs and probably the perfect outcome.
Tomorrow is also a special day where we pay our respects and love to Malcom "Peewee" Mclean, one of our own, who passed away just a week ago. A minutes silence for Malcy will be observed before the game. Malcy has been with us every step of the way since the rebirth of the F-Troop, he will be sadly missed by everyone. It comes so soon after the passing of John "Turks" Martin, another great F-Troop lad, tough times.
Expecting another bumper crowd at Bickland tomorrow to cheer our lads on. We don't intend letting our Cornwall Senior Cup go easily. Roll on tomorrow.

You’ve got to fancy the winner of this game being favourites for the CSC. With Tavvy playing tomorrow you may be missing Jordan, Jeff, which imo could make the difference in the final score - good luck to both teams.

Agreed should be a cracker. Sadly I'll miss it as I'm working tomorrow. First game I'll have missed since Mousehole away (so not a good sign!)
If we have Ryan and Sam firing on all cylinders I'd place a fiver on an Ashes win. But Bickland is a tough place make no doubt about it.

Bickland Park will be the place to be tomorrow afternoon!  Looking like a crowd of 500+.  Anyone without a game to watch tomorrow should get themselves down to Falmouth to watch this one.
Best non-league atmosphere in the west with crowds growing every week!
