  1. Exmouth Town V Parkway Off tonight, Did a pitch inspection at 1.30pm the pitch was fine , due to the weather Forecast it was prudent to check again at 4.30. The heavens opened at around 4pm and the pitch which was already wet, now with surface water and the forecast was bad for the next 3 hours. hence gutted, we had to call it off. Had more games off due to the weather this season than the whole of last season. No idea when this Les Phillips game will be played. UTT
  2. Tavistock 6 Exmouth Town 1 FA VASE Well a bad evening for Town ,which Tavvy absolutely got revenge for the poor performance at Southern Road a couple of weeks ago. Town had a bad start when Keeper Chris Wright was substituted after 5 mins injured ,but fortunately Town had a keeper on the bench. Town took the lead after 8 mins with a tap in for Ace High .That was the end of the good news for town. Tavvy banged in 3 goals before half time and then another 3 in the second half. No excuses from Town we were just second best all night. The pitch was fine . The only slight niggle was I couldnt understand why Tavvy didn't announce the game was on through Social media ? I`m sure there would have been a few more there to watch, no idea what the attendance was ,but there were around 30 from Town . Ahh what do I know. UTT
  3. Just got back from Southern Road is off . The Pitch is very very wet and the forecast is wet and its raining now, as it has been since 4pm last night. Shame I was looking forward to this game . Next up Tavvy away on Saturday fingers crossed in the Vase .UTT
  4. Exmouth Town 4 Tavistock 2 This was a horrible evening ,players and supporters had problems getting to Exmouth for the 7.30pm kick off due to an accident on the A38 and it started to rain around 4pm and carried on all night! That said it was a great game,Town were dominant for most of the first half but went behind in the 45th Minute when a great hard and low cross was turned in by a Town defender for an OG. HT 0-1 The second half started with a bang when Ace High got on the end of a great cross to equal the scores. Tavistock then bounced back into the lead when awarded a Penalty which was easily converted. To be honest at this point I thought Tavistock would raise there game but no, Town absolutely brushed Tavvy aside with 3 goals in 10 minutes, Callam Shipton was given the freedom of Southern Road when he headed in from 6 yard and then Ace High scored his second. Jordan Harris hit the fourth from a direct free kick from 25 yards . A Great result for Town ,not sure Tavvys boss will be happy with their performance. A Decent 174 at the game with about 25 from Tavvy (Fair play to them with the hassle on the roads.) Next up the second half of Brislington at home after City v Argyle at Lunch time on Saturday. UTT
  5. Didnt make Keynsham away on Saturday , but not a great result for Town. I hear it was not the best performance on the artificial Pitch .The reports suggest Town struggled with the pitch and weren`t helped too much by the Ref. But hey,it happens some times .normally when you lose. A big week coming up, Tavvy at home Wednesday. We need to bounce back. (Also might be off to watch Buckland v Parkway on Tuesday.) UTT
  6. Exmouth Town 5 Street 0 A really entertaining game which ended up with A one sided final score. Street were a decent young team, who played some great football. They were unfortunate to lose two lads carried off injured in the first half. Street started the game strong but Town took the lead after a fantastic finish from Callam Shipton. Karl Rickard added a second fifteen minutes later. Jordan Harris then put Town 3 up ten minutes before half time . Street came out strong in the second half and had plenty of the ball without threatening Chris Wrights goal. Jordan Harris and Aarron Denny both added the scoresheet with a couple of great Team goals. Town could have scored two or three more ,but for the Street keeper who made a string of saves. This could have been 8 or 9. A Funny game ,this Street team were not that bad honest. Att 161 with about 15 from Street. Next up Keynsham away Saturday . UTT
  7. Exmouth Town 2 Portland United 0 Southern Road passed a pitch inspection at 9.00am . The ground was WET but playable. Needless to say it was going to be heavy. Town should have taken the lead after 2 mins when Denny hit a one on one at the keeper. After 8 minutes Callum Shipton was handily placed to pass the ball into the net from close range. Town doubled there lead 20 mins later when Karl Rickard had a deflected shot rifle past the keeper. Portland had a player sin binned for 10 at this point HT 2-0 Portland were better in the second half with Town defending for long periods catching Portland on the break a few times but not putting them to bed. In defense Kieron Wildig made one fantasic block on the line and Chrissy Wright made a couple of decent saves. FT Town 2-0 att 211 with around 40 from Portland. A Decent crowd for a wet day and City at home.UTT Next up the draw Monday and Street at home Wednesday evening 7.30
  8. Interesting reading , At Exmouth Town our gates are effected with Clashes with City. We average around 170 so far in the league( Only played 2 games at home ) We have been steadily been building the home attendances and had over 300/400 in some Cup games. In the western League there are so many teams based around Bristol the crowds are not great, but we have also been taking around 30/50 to away games. To be honest you get what you get, but you need to be proactive with marketing games through Social Media and local press. Obviously results help. We have been getting between 50/90 coming to reserve team games in the DFL (Step 7) Town are fortune that we have a local paper and radio station that actively back the club. UTT
  9. Wellington 0 Exmouth Town 2 A Sunday game as a part of the groundhopper day. Town were slow off the mark with Wellington looking better than there League position would suggest . A fantastic ball from Denny put Jordan Harris through with a defender and the keeper to beat ,which he duly did in the 20th min. Late in the half another great ball from Ace High and a neat finish from Denny gave town a two goal lead at HT. The second half was very similar to the first with Town having most of the play until Wellington were reduced to 10 men on about 60 min. This actually spurred Wellington on and it was a much closer game. Town hit the post and bar and Chris Wright made a couple of decent saves. A Decent 315 crowd for a Sunday (inc approx 60 Town) Next up Portland at home in the Vase UTT
  10. Exmouth Town 2 Cadbury Heath 0 Not a great game, Town had plenty of chances but took til the 44th Minute when Centre Half Dave Rowe beat the keeper after been put in. The second half was a wet and horrible half, Cadbury Heath raised there game ,but Town put the game to bed 15 min from the end with a neat finish from Jordan Harris. Cadbury Heath had just had a three match unbeaten run ,they also looked a changed team from the one we played a few weeks ago away winning 5-1 up there in the Vase. Att 141 (City at home always affects the gate) around 10 visiting supporters UTT
  11. Been away reports to Continue UTT. Missed Towns 4-0 Les Phillips Cup win at Almondsbury and 1-0 win at Cully in the Devon Bowl. Towns second home League game against 3 game unbeaten Cadbury Heath at Southern Road Saturday.
  12. Cadbury Heath 1 Exmouth Town 5 ( FA Vase) So our 4th Saturday away day on the trot. Town were out of the traps quickly dominating this game. Towns Karl Rickard hit two first half pens to give Town a 2-0 lead at ht. Again after the break. Town were on the front foot with Ace High getting on the end of a knock down from Rickard to make it 3-0. Cadbury Heath pulled a goal back from a shot from the edge of the box. Town immediately went 4-1 up after a great run and finish from Ben Steer. Ace High finished things off late on making it 5-1. A Good day and trip. Found a great pub just around the corner from the ground, the King William, as the clubhouse / lock up wasnt open when we got there at 1.30. Stayed at the Clubhouse / Lock up until 6PM after the game. Nice people running the club. Att 83 inc approx 25 town
