  1. Southern league. Saturday 14th Sept. Truro City 1 Gosport Borough 0 Truros scorer Louis Rooney in the 96th minute to secure 3 points and keep City in 2nd spot in the table.
  2. City drawn away to Barnstaple in the next round.
  3. Your memory is correct Ray. I was there at Plainmoor watching it. Unpleasant memories. Not just the football but also the way the Truro Fans were treated by Torquay.
  4. My estimate wasn't too bad. I got the right numbers- just not in the right order.
  5. Tuesday 10th September Southern League Cup Truro City 3 Tiverton Town 1 Truro scorers - Rio Garside, Moulaye N'Diaye and a Tiverton own goal. Tiverton scorer - former City player Aaron Bentley. I didn't hear any announcement about attendance but my estimate is around 230.
  6. You are probably correct. I was at the far end of the ground and I and some others around me thought there was a handball in the build up but it was too far away for my 'old' eyes to see clearly.
  7. The best team won but it could have been oh so different! City's 2nd goal was a goalkeeping howler leaving Yetton to walk the ball into the net for his 230th goal for City. Wimborne appeared to have scored a second goal - originally given by the Ref only to be ruled out after consultation with the linesman for a handball. Then Hamons wonderful last minute penalty save to deny Wimborne the chance of a replay.
  8. Some good away wins for Cornish teams in the FA Vase.
  9. Good away win. Well done to the team and the supporters who made the journey.
  10. 1st defeat of the season for Truro today. Lost 2 - 1 away at Chesham.
  11. That 0 column is due today to the keeper Hamon with his MOM performance . Mind you the Swindon keeper was also excellent and kept them in the match.
  12. Truro City 3 Dorchester Town 0 Scorers Mbayo, Jephcot and Keats.
  13. Met Police 0 Truro City 2 Truros goals by Niall Thompson and Ryan Law. Great away result. New season. New owners. New optimism. Roll on 1st home game Tuesday v Dorchester.
  14. I agree. Nice to see the team in the real.TCFC strip.
  15. A nice evening at Treyew Road. Just under 600 in attendance and a good atmosphere. The new owners seem to be trying to improve the match day experience. As mentioned above.a few of the Helston players seemed to be a little over zealous in their tackles for a pre season match. Truro certainly need a bit more in terms of midfield and attack before they have a team able to mount a.serious challenge for promotion this season.
