  1. That's the way society is now. Always someone to blame. Never mind about the idiot who did it...... blame the Ref or the CCFA or the Government .
  2. Result Truro 2 Hartley Wintney 1 Truro scorers Luke jephcot & Tyler harvey. Attendance 412.
  3. Just got back from Treyew Road. In the 1st half an abject City were overrun and outplayed by a slick looking Poole Town and went into the break 3 - 0 down. I don't know what Paul Wotton did to them in the dressing room but a totally different team came out. Full of drive and urgency they overawed Poole. First a goal from Luke Jephcott and then one from Tyler Harvey. They kept the attacking pressure on and gained a point with a 3rd goal in the 90th minute. Final score Truro 3 Poole 3.
  4. Tuesday 15th October Truro City take on Poole Town at Treyew Road. K.o. 7.45pm. A top of the table clash between 2 teams who have both been amongst the Leagues pace setters so far this season. .
  5. City drawn at home in the FA Trophy to Blackfield and Langley. Saturday 26th October 3pm at Treyew Road.
  6. Saturday 12th October Harrow 1 Truro City 2 City's 2 goals both scored by Tyler Harvey. Another good away win putting City in 2nd place in the league.
  7. Yates Town 0 Truro City 3 Scorers - Tyler Harvey, Niall Thompson and Louis Rooney.
  8. Thank you. I appreciate reading the scores and reports each week.
  9. Truro City 3 Hayes & Yeading Utd 0 Two first half goals from Tyler Harvey and a late second half goal from Luke Jephcot gave City a deserved win against a resolute Hayes & Yeading. City played some lovely football in the 1st half but let their opponents back into it in the 2nd half and City keeper Hamon had to make a few good saves to keep them out. Jephcots goal in the 83rd minute made the 3 points save. An entertaining game played in atrocious conditions.
  10. Leeds says Cornwall isn't a footballing hotbed. But once a fortnight thousands cross the Tamar to watch league football at Argyle. It shows there is a Cornish appetite for league matches. (Not me though - I travel to Exeter to get my league 'fix").
  11. Southern league. Saturday 14th Sept. Truro City 1 Gosport Borough 0 Truros scorer Louis Rooney in the 96th minute to secure 3 points and keep City in 2nd spot in the table.
  12. Your memory is correct Ray. I was there at Plainmoor watching it. Unpleasant memories. Not just the football but also the way the Truro Fans were treated by Torquay.
  13. You are probably correct. I was at the far end of the ground and I and some others around me thought there was a handball in the build up but it was too far away for my 'old' eyes to see clearly.
  14. The best team won but it could have been oh so different! City's 2nd goal was a goalkeeping howler leaving Yetton to walk the ball into the net for his 230th goal for City. Wimborne appeared to have scored a second goal - originally given by the Ref only to be ruled out after consultation with the linesman for a handball. Then Hamons wonderful last minute penalty save to deny Wimborne the chance of a replay.
  15. Good away win. Well done to the team and the supporters who made the journey.
