Surely by finishing  this season would give more time to make sure the virus has gone. If next season doesn't start on time we could be seeing  all sorts of problems at the end,it's bad enough when we have a few weeks rain. If the season doesn't exist that problem is gone and the remainder of this season could be easily completed even if it didn't start until after Christmas, which would have no affect  on the casualties of this evil virus.Better for everyone in my opinion.

I would have thought it would have been better to finish this season regardless of how long it takes and if necessary cancel next season as all teams are on a level footing once this season is over. If there is some spare time in between we could have a one off competition to keep players fit and revenue coming in and then carry on as normal from August 2021

Teflon has it on good authority that Tavi will still pay him to play for Taunton!
That’s not even that daft compared to most things he says! 🤣

Spot on Rob, because with a pyramid system that the FA are trying to run and even further develop, it should all be based on promotion and relegation. So the first thing that happens is those in relegation spots at the end of the season are demoted and those in promotion spots are promoted, whatever system of promotion that exists between various leagues. It might be two down two up, may be a three involved, but what ever it is that is what happens at the end of the season. If a club decides to seek permission to be relegated and moved from the league they are in for all sorts of reasons, that is a separate matter all together. That move, if granted by the Fa, would create a vacancy in that league. The next club in line would than be promoted, it could be ppg, it could be play offs, 'toss of a coin' almost anything, but set within the rules.
If you have teams that want to 'go back' to a league, than it must be a drop of at least two leagues, or when a club has promotion forced on them they just 'kick the ball around' for a few games, say we want to go back and all meaning of a pyramid is lost.

If you are suspended from football for on field offences playing in step 5,6,7 a player can play in step 4 and above. If you are suspended whilst playing in step 4 and above the player can play in step 5 and below. If you remember there was a bit of a 'who ha' when argyle took advantage of this and played a suspended player in the SWPL. But like it or not that is the rule - or as close as i am going to get. So if a suspended player is out, say for four matches, he can still maintain his fitness and help others.😂

I think you will find WOTP that its only the top club that gets promoted, at this level its automatic, no choice . With the new FA system coming in 20/21 the automatic promotion goes down to step 6, maybe 7 not so sure about that one though.

Give the bloke a break. Apparently just an ordinary punter, not a paid journo. Probably travels miles to every away game at own expense, stands in pouring rain and freezing cold and then likely spends a couple of hours putting it all together when he eventually gets home only to be slaughtered by your pedantic comments. Don't be surprised if you don't see another report but I hope he is not put off!  If you want to see the lineups do as I do and look on the TSWL and/or Parkway websites. They are there in all their glory along with every other team's lineups for the whole season so far. Subs, officials, attendance, cards and all!! The whole nine yards.

Let's not be too hasty, a couple bad results doesn't mean this isn't a good squad. The step up in quality, being punished every game for mistakes, and injuries have all added to the poor run. It's all a learning curve for the club given its their first year at this level, one which they will improve on for sure

Whilst the top 6 or 7 clubs in the Swpl are undoubtedly of Western league standard, this was always going to be a big step up for the club due to the leagues strength in depth. Unlike swpl there are no easy games, where you can rest and rotate players and still pick up easy wins. Parkways first 11 is strong but the clubs is exposed by injuries much more than it would have been in the past. The club will finish this season in its highest ever league position, has enjoyed its best ever fa cup run, and remains in two cups. It is also about to build a new clubhouse. Plenty to be cheerful about!!

Well that was a long day. Gloucester   3  Parkway  1  ( Carter pen ) . An early goal for the home team 17 seconds made me think , oh no this could be a hammering . But that was not to be . We replied with a perfectly taken penalty 2 minutes after . We kept up with the Step 2 side for most of the first half which saw the scores level . Gloucester were giving a debut to a French U21 International up front. Got to admit he was lively. We had a few half chances but the home defence were solid nearly all game. We then got caught with a bit of sloppy defending to concede the second and caught on the break for the third. At 2 - 1 down Carter and Yetton combined which saw a great full stretch one handed save from the home keeper . Who knows what would have happened at 2-2 ?   My man of the  Match was Mikey Williams.
A fair result in the end , the stronger team ( expected too ) won the spoils. I feel Parkway did themselves and their supporters proud  and the Home team Manger said this did not feel like a cup tie , but a league game . That's a compliment in its self.
I experienced the Parkway party bus on the way home too . What a bunch of nuggets lmao. Non stop singing and dancing and bantering all the way home. Thanks for that lads as I still have "Sweet Caroline" going round in my head this morning .
Well,  dust ourselves down and go again Saturday.
    Cmon Parkway.
Oh and they did not have any pasties grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not a very good reporter - Callington 1 - 3 Parkway.  Goals for parkway were from Aaron Bently, Mike Smith and Stewart Yetton. Parkway had at least four missing from the squad, but still managed to bring on three subs. No doubt Callington had players missing, as all clubs will during this 'friendly' season. We were missing Hobbs, Trott, Farkins and Hillson through family, holidays and work. Callington started off at a great pace and went ahead through a deflected shot which left the keeper stranded. The second half was dominated by Parkway who played some really attractive football, quick movement and could have scored another four goals except for some clearances off the line.  That's all I can manage.
