  1. Looking for a couple friendlies for Marazion on the 10th and 17th April. Away if possible. We will cover referee costs. Let me know. Cheers.
  2. Everything will be handled how it should be. Like I’ve said already I cannot condone that and everything that happens to my player is fully deserved and I cannot make any excuses for it.
  3. What happened today is unacceptable and there is no way I can condone what happened as manager of marazion. I apologize for what happened today and it cannot happen in football. My lad was out of order and let himself down and the club and he knows that. There’s no room for that in football. Was a decent game before that and was ruined. As the manager of marazion I apologize to the referee and to Hayle for what happened. That’s all I can say on the matter!
  4. Gutted to have had to make the decision with Rols to fold the Gwin. Was a tough decision. But with the lack of commitment and players moving on; it was just impossible to get a side out each week. Football used to be priority a few years back but that’s slowly creeping out. Will put on here what I’ve already said that thanks to all sponsors, players etc that have been loyal to me the past few seasons. Really appreciate it. And most importantly thanks to Roland for all his time and effort in helping the past 3 years 👍🏼
  5. Mawnan 1-3 Gwin Great performance from the boys. Made up for last week, almost 😂 a very physical affair on a heavy pitch which made it difficult to play football on which suited the physical Mawnan outfit. They took the lead in the first 5 minutes through my boys still being in changing room asleep. But we equalized midway through the half through a delightful finish from Sam Charlton. H-T 1-1 Second half down the slope we made a couple changes and played with more pace. Took the lead early on with a goal from Josh Bevis. We had more and more chances and capitalized with another neat finish from Bevis after hard work from Scott Goodchild on the wing. Mawnan playing with the wind had possession but didn’t really trouble our goal. This showed when a few challenges from the home side weren’t the best and a little lack of discipline. But we had the last laugh by beating them 3-1. Great performance and work rate from the boys. Shame we lost last week 🙄🙄🙄🙄 MOM Josh Bevis. West Cornwall away next week. Another hard game but we can’t wait. 🖤🤍🖤🤍
  6. Difficult biting your tongue sometimes with such clowns mate
  7. 😂😂😂😂😂 sorry Mr professional. We’ll all act in a professional manner mate ☺️
  8. Well done fudgey and the mariners. Beat us fair and square. You took full advantage of my lads thinking we’d won before we even got out the changing room A credit to yourself and your battling performance. We let ourselves down massively after last weeks performance and I’ve made sure they see it the same way as I did today. Dazza Ball still as quality as I remember when he was at hayle when I was years ago. Good luck for the season chaps and enjoy your deserved win 👍🏼👍🏼
  9. Gwin 1-1 Titans Great result for the boys yesterday considering the amount of players we had missing. The lads fought and battled for each other and was really good to watch. Titans took the lead through a penalty which there were no arguments about. We equalized through a long range effort from Ash Mellows. Second half was just a massive battle. Got heated a couple times but you can’t expect anything less in a game like that. They hit the post and we had a couple decent chances that we couldn’t put away. A draw is a fair result. Very well refereed by the man in the middle, would like to have him every week Mom Tommy Richards. ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️
  10. There are only 12-14 sides in each league anyway so even with all these games cancelled there’s always gunna be time to replay them by the end of the season so it doesn’t really matter. It’s the lowest standard of football at the end of the day, there’s not gunna be millions of quid invested into it to produce new 3g pitches is there; so we at gwinear can make sure our fixture against Constantine is played mid December 😂😂
  11. Junior cup heartache 😭😭 Gwin 1-2 TMS. A last minute wonder goal was the difference today. Thought we deserved to go through or at least ET. Defended well against the win and broke well, out decision making in the final third has cost us. Very bitter pill to swallow. Move onto next week, at home to Illogan if the pitch repairs 🙈 was a swamp by the end. Well done to TMS, and good luck in the next round. Goal scorer was Josh Bevis and he also won man of the match. ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️
  12. Culdrose 2-7 Gwin. After last weeks shocker I was expecting a reaction from the boys which they eventually did. Started very slowly and conceded first deservedly. We equalized just before half time to make it 1-1 which I thought was warranted after we had a lot of possession and made a few decent chances. H-T 1-1 Second half we finally started playing how we should have played all game and started making a lot of chances, and taking them. I think we went 4-1 up then conceded to make it 4-2, then we turned the screw and secured the points. Goals from: Billy Foster ⚽️⚽️ Ashley Mellows ⚽️ Josh Bevis ⚽️ Gavin Russell ⚽️ Marcus Bawden ⚽️ Sam Charlton ⚽️ MOM Charlie Shears DOD Tommy Richards Jordan Brown - cramp 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈 And to top of a great day for my boys, after last week’s humiliation against titans, they played a suspended player so we’ve got the points for that match and they’ve been docked the 3 points. Makes last weeks nightmare a lot better.
  13. Exactly Ralph, if you’re jumping into a 50/50 you aim to win ball, maybe leave a little bit on them but not go out to hurt them. Like you’ve said it’s a hobby. None of us in these leagues (I hope) earn a living from playing. But it’s a well known commodity some intentionally aim to do that, completely out of order.
  14. Titans 8-0 Gwin Out played, out fought, out everything. Got battered with our depleted side. Back to drawing board. Could have been more. Players back in next week so got to put it right. ⚫️⚪️
  15. Percy Stevens cup Gwin 14-2 Ludgvan We played well and took our chances. Billy Foster ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ Ash Mellows ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ Gavin Russell ⚽️ Luke Barber ⚽️ Anthony Leak ⚽️ Josh Bevis ⚽️ Ted Mulhearn ⚽️ Into the next round with a decent performance, well done to ludgvan, never stopped trying and good luck to them for the season. MOTM James Stevens DOTD James Stevens, foul throw 🙈 Big game next week, titans away. ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️
  16. Junior cup Gwinear 9-0 Falmouth DC Professional display from the boys. Quality football and goals. Happy manager. Billy Foster and Ash Mellows having a hat trick each. Josh Bevis, Sam Charlton and Barney Dagger completing the scoreline. Ash had 2 disallowed as well which would have given him 5. Credit to DC, battled til the end and kept trying to play football, fair play to them. Man of match - Sam Charlton. Superb display. **** of the day - Derek Pickin. Red mist 🙄 No game next week which is a shame but gives us our injured lads a rest. Looking forward to the next draw. ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️

  18. Illogan 2-6 Gwin First half was a poor display from my boys. Conceding a decent finish early on. We then went on to win a penalty that Billy Foster had saved again 👀 2 in 2 saves for my star man 😂🙄 but we then went into win another penalty that Ash Mellows slowed in. In the melee of the penalty win Illogan had a player sent off for dissent I think which didn’t help their cause. Then was followed by my counterpart Alan Williams being sent off as well. We then conceded a penalty ourselves which looked harsh but ex gwin reject Corri Braymer had his penalty superbly saved by Ashleyjade Dunn. H-T 1-1 Was a bit of a hairdryer for the boys at half time as I think we fell into their trap of panicking and rushing out football. Made a couple changes. Second half was more like it. We played quality one/two touch football and was a joy to watch at time. Mellows went on to score a couple more to make his first hat trick for me and gave his best performance for the gwin. We then conceded a breakaway goal which was annoying as we were playing very well. The goals were rounded off with Derek Pickin netting 2 and Luke Barber with an absolute screamer from 2 yards. Second half performance made up for the first and was enjoyable to watch. Good performance. Leads us into junior cup action next week, where I want to replicate another cup run like last season. Man of matches- Ash Mellows & Ashley Dunn **** of day - Billy Foster 🙈😂
  19. Gwin 3-0 Mawnan Professional performance from my lads today. Dominated from start to finish. Very happy gaffer. Goals from Jordan Brown with a well worked goal assisted by Billy Foster. Our second coming through Josh Bevis. And the third coming from Luke Barber with a great header. Also having a saved penalty from the usual clinical Foster. Exceptional game management from us and won the match with a clean sheet to top it off, whereas last season we’d have struggled to see the match off. 16 players today with 4 more to return from injuries so a quality squad and a lot of competition for places which I’ve wanted since I’ve been here. Only dampener was having our skipper Gavin Russell being sent off from an awful decision from the referee mishearing the captain after being fouled and asking ‘what if he broke my legs’ and the ref thinking he heard Gav saying he was gunna break the oppositions players legs. Ruined a perfect day. Shocking. Move on to high flying Fourlanes at home next week and a team night out on the beers. Man of match: Luke Barber, perfect performance from my centre half. **** of Day: Charlie Shears. Missing from a yard 😂 ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️
  20. Gwin 2-2 West Cornwall Absolute quality game of footy to be apart off today. Think the result was a fair reflection of the match; even though i thought we were gunna nick it in the end. Went 1-0 up through a great finish from Josh Bevis after some hard work from Ash Mellows. West Cornwall are a very good footballing side and had the lion share of the ball in the first half but didn’t really trouble stand in keeper Jamie Cotterill apart from one or 2 saves. HT 1-0. Second half West scored 2 quick fire goals through no mistakes from us but were just decent well worked goals. After they went ahead he turned it on and dominated the game. Quite a few chances for us but couldn’t capitalise. After a lot of huffing and puffing our new signing Zach Thomas scored with a decent finish after some pinball in their area. We nearly nicked it in the end with Billy Foster centimetres away from a last minute finish. Was a cracking game for the neutral. Big tackles, good football and quality goals. Happy with the result against a team that will be up the top this year, Besty has a very well drilled footballing side and will win most matches this year. Considering we had so many players out today and only had 12 available with Charlie Eddy kitted up even though he was injured I’m very happy with the result! The boys dug in deep. MOM Zach Thomas. Quality debut at right back and a goal to top it off. Very happy to get him signed on for the season, will be a top signing. Move on to Mawnan at home next week. ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️
  21. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 And what amazing side are you a part of then
  22. The leagues aren’t embarrassing at all. Ruan have created a quality side the last couple years and walked div 2 last year and everybody said they’re easily a senior side. They’ve stepped up to combo this year cause of all the league shenanigans and why would you blame them trying to better themselves? And by the looks of it they’ve made the right decision. Carharrack were in the shit last season and have been saved by the new gaffers and have probably sorted a decent side worthy of playing combo. Instead of trying to insult the standard of the leagues maybe give it a few weeks and see what happens. Best of luck to Ruan who are trying to turn a village side into a top team and to Carharrack who have turned it around to compete this season. Your opinion is pure stupidity. All the best, Danny Richards Gwinear Churchtown manager 👍🏼
  23. Gwinear 7-1 Falmouth 3rds. Wasn’t at last weeks game so couldn’t do a report. But being there today was brilliant to see. Dominated all game. And it showed. Goals from josh Bevis with a hat trick, Billy Foster with a hat trick and Ash Mellows rounded up the scoring. Some of the best footy I’ve seen at the gwin and was a pleasure. If it was 9/10 it couldn’t have been argued. Move on to ludgvan at home Tuesday. Man of the match Josh Bevis. **** of the day Jordan Brown, has cramp 😂😂😂
