  1. Only just seen this. Correction, @Postman Pat only one knee support now since left knee replacement in January! 🤣
  2. Well done @stevieb & good refereeing in the final. Impressive setup at Hayle with the 3G & really competitive tournament today. Shame us at Newquay ( sorry, my Redruth friends) lost 1-0 to Lanivet in the final but a good advert for Walking Football and well deserved to Lanivet, a solid team. Pleased my new knee held up well but not such good prospects for my right knee, also on the way out. Ouch. Good to catch up with & play against other more ‘senior’ players again such as Kimmo & Terry Sturgeon.
  3. Confirmation that "currently" the Redruth v Carharrack game is on. Pitch inspection earlier. The onset of further rain may jeopardise this so we will be keeping a close eye. Also, referee wasn't removed, the fixture was a late addition which both clubs worked hard on with minimal notice on Thursday evening to compile their squads. At that late stage, a referee wasn't available, although Referee Appointment Secretary has allocated Ian Roberts today.
  4. Due to a last minute change for our opponents, Redruth now has a pitch and referee available tomorrow. Please contact Darin Thomas on 07533017918 if you are able to play.

  6. Redruth United FC announces that Ryan Ault has resigned from his position as Reserve Team Manager. We thank Ryan for his involvement so far and are sorry that due to personal circumstances that are fully understood by the Committee, Ryan has felt that he is unable to devote the time, energy & focus required for managing our Reserve Team. We are therefore seeking applications for Reserve Team Manager. Please contact our Chairman, Darin Thomas, on 07533 017918 or email redruth.unitedfc@btinternet.com Thank you.
  7. SF, we've never played at Treleigh. In our first 2 seasons 1993/4 -1994/5, we played at Raymond Road, which was the same ground used by Redruth Rangers ( Sunday league) at the time.
  8. Shift done. Newquay at 7 am, to Goonhavern, on to St Agnes. Pick up by the missus. Thanks to Neal for lending me the Sherman Tank, but any bike better than trying it on my daughter's tricycle which was my fallback option. Best of luck to the rest of our hardy troops. Darren L
  9. Game off: Redruth United Reserves v Porthleven Rangers.
  10. I'm very pleased to welcome back Matt Mitchell to one of his former clubs as he replaces me as manager of our reserves. Last season, we were thrilled to bring Neal Jeffree in to spearhead our successful campaign towards Senior football, and I took the decision to step down to run our reserve team with John Salmon. John will continue his excellent work from last season and I know will work well with Matt. Two years and two successive promotions for both sides so last season's decisions were spot on. I will now be returning to the first team to lend my support to Neal with our inaugural first season in Combo. We celebrate our 20 year anniversary this week (13th August 1993). Great to have Matt's involvement and commitment. Redruth United onwards and upwards.
  11. Hardly struggling. What an assumption! I must apologise if after 20 years of running much of this club that I want to ensure we are as best equipped as possible to do the league and Redruth proud.
  12. Redruth United FC marks its 20 year anniversary in August, and we enter a very exciting time as the town of Redruth has a side playing in Combination League football for the first time. With this in mind, we are looking for a maximum of three or four more players to complete what is shaping up to be a strong squad. So, if you want the chance to step up from Trelawny football and represent the town of Redruth in the Combo, then we'd like to hear from you. If you have the ability, and most importantly, the right attitude, then please contact us. Equally, if you already have experience in Combo football, and wish to be one of the first players to represent Redruth at this level, then again, please get in touch. We continue to train on Tuesday evenings at Clijah Croft (6.15pm). Our friendlies campaign commences on Saturday 27th at Helston. Please contact Neal Jeffree on 07775 511778

  14. Redruth Utd v Constantine OFF. Constantine unable to raise a side.
  15. Redruth United Reserves vs Mawnan Reserves. Mawnan are unable to raise a side. Points to Redruth.
  16. Hi Paul, thanks. Could you let me have an extra copy of your match day programme. Happy for you to email it, rather than print. Redruth.unitedfc@btinternet.com Regards, Darren Lewarne
  17. Wrong club. Is it really that difficult to know which club and team you are playing against?
  18. Firstly, thank you skyblueref for your inspection. I had a phone call this afternoon from Cornwall Council to advise that the council had undertaken their inspection and that "all pitches" were unsuitable for playing. Very disappointing for both Redruth teams as well as our opponents ( sorry Babbo!). We both wanted to play. However, irrespective of our own personal, or club views, the position is clear on Clijah. As a council-owned ground, they are able to call a game off if the pitch is considered unplayable. Sorry all (well, more particularly Illogan Res and Mawnan Res)
